IF Only He KNEW That RECORDING The Pastor’s DELIVERANCE Will Land Him..#story #folklore #folk #tales – Ty
Okuro village was a very peaceful place. But every morning one name filled the air. Prophet Junah. People call him man of God who always come out very early in the morning to come and pray and preach to the villagers. They say his prayers could make a blind man see and make rain fall even in dry season.
When he walked on the road, people stopped and bowed. Women shouted, “Bless me, man of God.” And men touched his shoes just to collect small anointing. Every Sunday, Prophet Jonah’s church was full. Cars, bicycle, even donkeys stopped outside. The sick came clawing, the baring came crying, and the hopeless came believing. Inside the church, people worshiped Prophet Jonah like God.
In fact, they worshiped the ground that he works. It was as if Prophet Jonah was using sham on his believers and his followers. No one really knows because anytime he’s doing his miracles, people will be rolling on the floor. And all his miracles are very believable. Whenever prophet Jonah pass they will be shouting man of God man of God this man he prays oh and heaven answers if this man pray for you even death will not fear to come close the villagers believed that he was truly the man of God every time you see prophet Jonah
walking his Bible was always under his arm when he preached he speak slowly Holy with power. God spoke to me before dawn. Every night I talked to him face to face. The whole village believed him. Even the chiefs in the village respected him. Whenever he visited any houses, people would sweep the ground clean and lay mats for him before he would pass.
And prophet Jonah never walked alone. Three young men always follow him carrying his bag, his towel, and the other person his bottle of water, the holy water that he loves to sprinkle on his believers. Prophet Jonah doesn’t eat in public. Prophet Jonah liked respect. He liked the way people kneel before him.
He liked the smell of their fear and their fate in front of him. He told himself that it was pride. It was honor. After all, a servant of God deserved double respect. But inside his chest, something else was growing. It wasn’t faith. It wasn’t hunger. But it was the taste for power, for control, and for money.
Because every Sunday he would tell his believers that offering is a very special thing to God and you must give your best. People started bringing goats, yam, dollars, even goat chin. The more they give, the more he smiled and the more they feared him. Then one faithful day on a Sunday evening, one rich woman named Madame Stella came to the church alone.
Her husband have traveled. She has been married for 7 years yet no child. She came that day and cried before the altar. Man of God, please. I’ve gone to the hospital, native doctors everywhere. And yet there is no child to prove that I got married 7 years ago. Help me. Prophet Jonah looked at her with slow pity. My daughter, you have been fighting spiritual battles.
The spirit of barness lives inside your womb. Only special deliverance can free you. Please pastor, I will do anything. Madame Stella told Prophet Jonah. Prophet Jonah now replied to her, “God has spoken to me just now. You must come back tonight alone.” The spirit walked at midnight. “Alone?” Madame Salah asked him, “Yes, some prayers are not for public ears.
Bring an offering to something heavy. The spirit respects sacrifice.” Madame Cella nodded, “Thank you, man of God. I would come.” By night, Madame Cellah came with a small bag and a white clothes covering her head. She also held a brown envelope full of money. Rafael Jonah was already waiting for her inside his sanctuary of rest.
A place he built specially for himself and for anybody he wants to do a special deliverance. That place is also different from the main church. As Madame Stella got there, Prophet Jonah welcomed her. Welcome, daughter of Zion. Have you brought your sacrifice? Yes, man of God. She knelt down quickly and she placed the envelope on the floor.
Prophet Jonah picked it. H daughter of Zion, God will bless you for this. Now the spirit must leave you tonight. But first you must wash your spirit. Madame Stella blinked and looked at him. Wash? Yes, he said in his room. We do what normal eyes cannot understand. You must remove your wrapper.
The Holy Spirit cannot walk through clothes. Madame Stella was confused. What prophet? Uhhuh. I’ve never heard of such deliverance before. The prophet looked at her. Do you want the child or not? Yes, I want the child, but I cannot go inside there alone with you. I thought it’s something we can do quickly so I can go back home.
Prophet Jonah now said to her, “I can see the fear in your eyes. Do not fear. This is just holy cleansing. Just go in there and use the white clothes and cover yourself. That is all. Madame Stella obeyed and she went in with the white clothes she tied on her body. Then the prophet started praying for her. Spirit of delay, spirit of dryness, I command you, come out.
As Prophet J’s hands move closer to Madame Cellah’s body, she was curious to ask him, “Man of God, are you sure this is prayer?” “Of course, don’t look at me. Look to heaven.” When it was over, she dressed up quickly. And the man of God said to her, “Go in peace. The Lord has done it.” Madame Cellah walked out slowly. She was shedding tears, but she was really sweating.
She wanted to scream, but her mouth refused to move. By morning, as Madame Stella was walking back home, she became a shadow of herself. She didn’t greet anyone that walked past her, she looked like someone who had seen a ghost, but she never told anyone what truly happened inside that deliverance. Later that week, Prophet Jonah told the church while he was preaching, he wanted to tell them the good things he has been doing to women who are baring and they want the fruit of womb.
And prophet Jonah told them how Madame Stella received her miracle and soon she would testify. The whole church shouted, “Hallelujah!” But Madame Stella never came back to that church. In fact, she moved away from the village quietly. And no one bothered to know the reason why. Everyone believed Prophet Jonah because who would doubt a man of God who speaks fire? It was only the three young men who followed him everywhere he goes.
They were the one that looked worried. They have heard strange cries from the sanctuary that night and they dare not ask questions because they fear him so much. One of them, a young boy named Ibuka, whispered to his friend, “Do you think the man of God truly talks to Angel?” His friend frowned, “Shh, I’m not here. Don’t say what you don’t know.
You want that to strike you.” But I didn’t stop thinking about it. He started watching him carefully. Sometimes late at night when everyone slept. Epuka would be awake. He would see prophet Jonah leave his house quietly. He would go to the back of the church with a lantern. He would stay there till morning.
When he come out, his robe will be smelling of perfume, different perfumes that belongs to another person. Epukas started to ponder with questions. What really will happen when the man of God prays at night? Are you sure this man is truly the man of God? Huh? Me? I have to find out. Oh, because I cannot let this curiosity slide down.
Weeks passed. More women came to Prophet Jonah. They went with hope, with tears, and with heavy offering. He told each of them the same thing. You must watch your spirit in the midnight fire. Some said no at first, but when they saw others giving testimony, they changed their mind.
After all, who would believe a poor woman over the man of God? And with all those testimony, Prophet Jonah’s fame grew louder. His church began to build a new branch. Posters filled the whole town. Fire night deliverance with Prophet Jonah, the man who speaks with angel. But at night the same prophet lived a different life. The young man I would always see prophet Jonah leaving the house middle of the night.
He would not wear his robe as a pastor. He would change into a black capan and he will drove to the next village. Ibuka kept on wondering what is really going on and he swore that he must find out what truly is going on with this pastor. Then another Sunday approached. People filled up the church again. Prophet Jonah started speaking fire upon fire, driving anointing, healing the sick, and performing miracles in front of all the believers and the followers of the church.
As everyone was happy seeing prophet Jonah, the only person that wasn’t happy was Ibuka. He stood by the corner of the church looking at Prophet Jonah. He has seen things. He had heard cries at night from the prophet’s house. He had seen the prophet carry strange bottles to the church.
And Ibuka had already concluded that this man is not who he says he is. So that Sunday, Ibuka made up his mind that he must find out what is truly going on. When everyone had left after service, he hid behind a cing. He heard footsteps. Prophet Jonah and a woman entered. Prophet Jonah now asked the woman, “You said you want deliverance, right?” “Yes, prophet.
” The young woman said, “I want the fruit of womb for my husband. There are people have been disturbing me. I want to get pregnant so that I can give I can give him a child. Do not worry. Your prayers have already been answered.” Now kneel. The young lady obeyed and kneelled. Ibuka was still behind the curtain very scared.
He held his small phone and he started recording the deliverance. Through the small space in that curtain, he saw what the prophet was doing. He was not really praying for that young lady. He was touching her inappropriately. And the young lady kept on shouting, “Man of God, please stop.” But he did not.
He kept on telling her, “This is how the spirit will leave you. If you don’t allow me enter, there is no way you can get pregnant for your husband.” Ibuka covered his mouth shaking. He didn’t move till the prophet finished what he was doing and walked out. Ibuka sneaked out of the church and ran home like the wind. He couldn’t sleep all night.
He kept on staring at that video over and over again. So, I have been right all this while. We wonder if I could not sleep at the pastor’s boy quarters where he gave them to be sleeping. As he ran home, the only person he could confine in was his mother. Mama, I need to talk to you. What is it? Yes. Oh, Abuka, I’ve been meaning to ask you, why didn’t you sleep at the pastor’s place today? Is there any problem? No, mama, there is no problem. But there is problem.
Hey, what happened? Huh? Mama, if you hear what I discovered, you will shout. What did you discover? You know, you are always full of yourself, curious to think that does not concern you. What is it this time I mama that man is not man of God though that man is evil? The mother shouted at him.
Are you crazy? Do you want thunder to kill you? How dare you call man of God an evil man? Eh, what happened? Mama, if you see what I discovered, you won’t call that man man of God. He’s wicked. Huh? He’s a rapist. Jesus. Able car, please clean your mouth. How dare you lie against the man of fire? Mom, I’m not lying. No. See this video that I recorded today.
Play the video for the mother and the mother feel the video. In fact, the woman could not believe himself. H my god. My god. Hey, this man is evil. Oh, hey. So this is how he makes all these baring women pregnant. He sleeps with them. Huh? This is pure wickedness. All because of money because I see the kind of donation people donate in that church now. Wow.
But my son ah you cannot be the one to expose this man because if those women could not expose him, who are you to expose him? I think you should be very careful because I don’t want anything to happen to you. You are my only son and cancel that place. You’re no longer going back.
I will be calling myself and tell him that you’re no longer serving him. God forbid my mama. Ah, I can’t leave like that. Do you want him to suspect something? I cannot leave. I need to go back. Maybe after the Sunday service, you tell him I can no longer stay there. then I will stop going. Ibuka’s mother then agreed and that night Ibuka went back to the boy’s quarters.
As he was coming back, he cited Prophet Jonah leaving the compound again. He wore black capan and covered his face with a scarf and he drove off. Who knows where this man is going by the middle of the night all the time? Who knows? Abuka minded his business and entered the boy’s quarters where he was staying with the other two boys.
Meanwhile, the man of God, Prophet Jonah, went straight to an old hall in the next village. Inside it, some other men that call themselves men of God are also waiting for him. When he entered, they were drinking alcohol, smoking and they were making jokes. One of them said, “Oo, next week I will make a walk.” Another one replied, “Me? I will make a blind man see.
We have already practiced the act.” Prophet Jonah started laughing, “Well, we are the chosen ones. The cloud wants fire. We give them smoke and sound.” They all laughed again. On the table before them were bundle of money, fake blood, small bottles with strange liquid. See, we give them what they want.
Power, signs, and stories. That’s how the world works. You know, we humans, we go with emotions, which is very good. It is to our advantage. One of my members donated 5 million NRA to me. Wow. You don’t blow. Of course I don’t blow now. Another one said, “Well, one got me a brand new Toyota Camry after I did small small sh for him and his wife and they got pregnant.” That was it. That was it.
That was it. And let me shock you, I didn’t really do anything. Funny enough, I just, you know, played with the woman a little bit. I didn’t even touch her. I just prayed and prayed and gave her some Bible verse. They came two weeks later and told me that the wife have gotten pregnant. I was so happy.
It was just a coincidence. Then guess what? Immediately the wife put to bed. This man brought me a brand new Corolla for me and for the wife. H I’m a brand new car owner as you see me. They all laughed, drank, smoked that night and prophet Jonah went back to his village. By morning, the video that I did leaked. No one knew how, but it spread like fire.
Facebook, WhatsApp, radio, everywhere was buzzing. Popular prophet Joda of Ukura caught in fake miracle and abuse scandal. People gathered at the market talking in low voices. Ah, I said it. That man’s eyes were not so good. I said it now. People people were just licking his feet. Now see, I knew all those miracles were fake.
Two men kept on arguing upon each other. who is correct and who isn’t. The news shocked the whole region and the angry believers and the followers of the church went to the church themselves and burnt down everything. Prophet Jonah vanished. No one knew where he went. Some said he ran to Ghana. Some said he was hiding in the forest.
Others said God has struck him down in shame. But no one saw him. When that news started going viral, the man vanished, even his house, no one was there. Ibuka and the other boys had to leave and went back to their own homes. The women that was abused, most of them, not all, came out and said what happened to them.
All the fake miracles he did, most of them started speaking out one after the other. And that was the downfall of prophet Jonah. Moral lesson of the story is not everyone who prays loud prays clean. A holy man without a clean heart will one day expose itself. Regardless of anything we do in this life, prayer to God personally, you are worshiping your God.
You don’t need a man of God to show you how to pray. I’m not saying you shouldn’t go to church or I’m saying that other prophets out there are fake. But we have to use our instincts correctly. Know when things are going overboard and no way to say no when someone want to do something inappropriate to you. Besties, I hope you enjoy the story.

The Prince Tasted Her Food and Crowned Her Instantly—Until a Dark Secret Was Exposed!
Article:
Once upon a time, inside a vast and wealthy kingdom heavily bathed in the golden African sun, there lived a powerful ruler named King Okiki. His realm was a breathtaking tapestry of vibrant cultures, ancient traditions, and massive wealth. King Okiki was blessed with a son, Prince Chima. Let me tell you, Prince Chima was not an ordinary prince. He was famous across all the neighboring kingdoms. Every single maiden in the land, whether she was a farmer’s daughter or a wealthy chief’s child, went to bed dreaming of marrying him. Why? Because Prince Chima was incredibly handsome, built like a warrior, yet he possessed a heart as soft and kind as morning dew.
As time turned its pages and seasons changed, King Okiki’s hair began to turn grey. One quiet evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, he summoned Prince Chima to his private chambers.
“My son,” the aging king said, his voice heavy with the wisdom of many years. “A king is only as strong as the woman standing beside him. The crown needs a queen. It is time for you to marry.”
In their ancient land, the tradition was absolute: before a prince could sit on the highly coveted throne and be crowned King, he must first find a pure heart to share it with. He must have a Queen.
Prince Chima, who was wise far beyond his years, understood the heavy weight of his father’s words. He knew that the village was filled to the brim with beautiful maidens. Some had skin like polished mahogany, others had hips that swayed like palm trees in the wind. But the Prince also knew a fundamental truth about human nature: physical beauty is just what the naked eyes can see; true character is what the heart can feel. Prince Chima did not just want a pretty face to decorate his palace. He wanted a wife who was genuinely kind, deeply empathetic, and highly resilient.
He sat in his royal garden, thinking deeply under the shade of a massive Iroko tree. Then, a brilliant idea sparked in his mind.
“I will not just pick a bride based on her face or her father’s wealth,” Prince Chima declared to his royal advisors. “Let us have a grand test for all the eligible girls in the kingdom. The maiden who proves herself to be the absolute best in character and skill will become my Queen.”
In this exact same kingdom lived two best friends, Chisom and Amaka.
If you saw Chisom and Amaka walking down the dusty village path to the stream, you would think they were morning and evening stars. They were completely different in their features but equally, breathtakingly beautiful. They were like blood sisters, always seen together, laughing, sharing secrets, and braiding each other’s hair. Everyone in the village boldly claimed that they were the most beautiful girls in the entire land.
When the royal town criers beat their talking drums and announced Prince Chima’s royal test, Chisom and Amaka were vibrating with excitement.
“I wonder what the test will be!” Amaka squealed, holding Chisom’s hands as they jumped up and down in their compound.
“Whatever it is, we will do it together,” Chisom replied with a wide smile. They swore a solid oath to help each other, agreeing that no matter who the Prince eventually chose, they would remain best friends forever and celebrate each other’s success.
On the day of the grand announcement, the entire village gathered in the massive Palace Square in a blinding burst of color and excitement. Maidens, looking like exotic flowers in full bloom, adorned themselves in their finest, most expensive wrappers. They wore heavy coral beads around their necks and painted their faces with beautiful traditional chalk. Among the sea of beauties, Chisom and Amaka shone like the brightest stars in the darkest night.
As Prince Chima stepped forward onto the royal balcony, the noisy air instantly hushed. His deep, commanding voice rolled over the massive crowd like gentle ocean waves.
“There will be three parts to this royal test,” the Prince announced. “First, there will be a dancing competition to test your grace. Second, there will be a cooking contest to test your domestic skills. And the last one… well, the last one is a surprise test that will only be revealed at the very end.”
The girls’ hearts beat fast like talking drums. They were all dreaming of the luxury of the palace, the gold, and the ultimate title of Queen. Chisom and Amaka squeezed each other’s hands, hoping and praying that one of them would win, genuinely happy for the opportunity that lay before them.
And so, in this sun-baked kingdom, a powerful story of friendship, hidden dreams, and a desperate search for a true-hearted queen officially began.
The big day for the first test finally arrived. The village was buzzing with uncontrollable excitement. Everyone, from the oldest elders to the youngest toddlers, headed straight to the Palace grounds where the test would happen. The maidens were all dressed up in their most colorful, elaborate attires, ready for the dance competition.
When it was time, the royal drummers struck their animal-skin drums with massive energy. The beat was infectious. Chisom and Amaka, who had spent countless nights practicing under the moonlight, stepped into the center of the circle. When they danced, it was pure magic. Their waists moved with fluid grace; their footwork was sharp, smooth, and perfectly in sync with the rhythm. Everyone watching was completely hypnotized.
Even Prince Chima, who was sitting on a high wooden chair, couldn’t help but stand up and give them a standing ovation. As the heavy drumming came to a halt, the air was thick with loud, deafening applause.
Prince Chima and his royal judges deliberated for a few minutes. Then, the chief judge stepped forward and announced the top seven girls who had performed the best and would move on to the next round. Both Chisom and Amaka were chosen! They screamed in joy and hugged each other tightly, their bond seemingly unbreakable.
But as we all know, the devil does not wear horns; sometimes, it wears the face of a greedy parent.
That night, as everyone went back to their respective homes talking animatedly about the dance, the atmosphere inside Amaka’s house was completely different. Amaka’s mother was a very ambitious woman. She was a local trader who sold beautiful coral beads and was relatively wealthy. But her eyes were fixed on a much bigger prize. She realized that if her daughter Amaka could pass all the tests and become the Queen, she—as the Queen’s mother—would automatically become the sole supplier of beads to the entire royal palace! She would become untouchable, making massive amounts of money and becoming the richest woman in the kingdom.
Unable to contain her greed, she called Amaka into her inner room and locked the door.
“Listen to me very carefully, my daughter,” the mother whispered harshly, her eyes gleaming with desperation. “You must find every possible way to win this test just for yourself. This is no longer a child’s play. You must win, even if it requires betraying your so-called best friend, Chisom.”
Amaka stared at her mother in pure shock, her mouth hanging open.
“Remember,” the mother continued, pointing a stern finger at her daughter, “Chisom is now your rival, not your friend anymore. In the game of crowns, there are no sisters. If you become the Queen, our family will be elevated forever. Do whatever it takes!”
Amaka listened, her heart heavily torn. She loved her mother, but she was deeply disappointed. She never expected such a dark, selfish thought to come from the woman who raised her. Amaka’s friendship with Chisom was a sacred bond she cherished deeply. She could not sleep that night, tossing and turning on her bamboo bed. She loved Chisom and was purely happy that they both did well. She resolved in her heart that she would play a fair game and never betray her friend, no matter what her mother said.
But what Amaka did not know was that the walls in village houses are very thin, and eavesdropping is a common sport.
That same night, Chisom had sneaked out of her house to come and gist with Amaka about the next day’s cooking test. As she approached Amaka’s window, she heard the harsh, whispering voice of Amaka’s mother. Chisom stood frozen in the dark, listening as the mother instructed Amaka to betray her and do whatever it takes to win.
Chisom did not wait to hear Amaka’s response. She did not know that Amaka had silently rejected her mother’s wicked advice. Fear, paranoia, and a sudden, burning desperation completely consumed Chisom’s heart.
“So they want to betray me?” Chisom thought to herself as she ran back to her house in the dark. “They want to use any means possible to steal the crown from me? I will not let that happen. I must act fast. I must secure this crown by fire, by force!”
What would you have done in this situation? If you were Chisom and you overheard your best friend’s mother plotting against you, would you have confronted your friend the next day, or would you have silently planned your own counter-attack?
Driven by blind panic and a sudden, desperate thirst for power, Chisom did the unthinkable. Under the cover of darkness, she sneaked out of the village and ran into the deep, forbidden forest to visit a powerful, notorious herbalist.
She paid him a hefty sum of cowries, explaining her desperate situation. The dark herbalist laughed, handing her a small, tightly sealed calabash containing a dark, foul-smelling liquid. “Put just three drops of this love potion into your food tomorrow,” the herbalist croaked. “The moment the Prince tastes it, his eyes will be blinded to every other woman. His heart will be completely locked unto you, and he will have absolutely no choice but to crown you.”
Chisom hid the potion in her wrapper and ran back home, her innocence entirely gone, replaced by a dark, consuming ambition.
The next day in the kingdom was all about cooking. The sun was shining brightly as the seven remaining girls brought their best ingredients to the massive Palace kitchen. It was the second part of the ultimate test to find the Queen. The girls meticulously cooked their favorite, most delicious meals, hoping to deeply impress the Prince.
Chisom and Amaka stood at different cooking stations. Amaka smiled warmly at Chisom, completely unaware of the dark shift in her friend’s heart. Chisom forced a fake smile back, but when nobody was looking, she uncorked the small calabash and squeezed exactly three drops of the dark love potion into her bubbling pot of spicy native soup.
When the time came, the dishes were presented to Prince Chima in the grand dining hall. The air was thick with the mouth-watering scents of rich spices, roasted meats, and traditional herbs. It was a feast fit for the gods.
One by one, the Prince tasted the dishes. He chewed slowly, his facial expressions completely unreadable, like a closed book.
Then came Chisom’s turn. She stepped forward, kneeling gracefully as she presented her specially prepared dish to the Prince. Prince Chima took a spoon, scooped a small portion of the soup, and placed it in his mouth.
In that exact moment, something supernatural shifted in the spiritual realm.
The Prince swallowed the food, and his eyes immediately widened. He looked up, and his gaze met Chisom’s. A sudden, unnatural spark ignited in his eyes. The dark magic of the potion gripped his mind instantly.
“This…” Prince Chima stammered, dropping his spoon. “This is the best dish I have ever tasted in my entire life!”
He stood up from his royal chair, his eyes completely glazed over with a deep, unnatural obsession for Chisom. He turned to his father, King Okiki, and the bewildered judges.
“Stop the competition right now!” the Prince declared loudly. “There is no need for any further testing. I have found the woman of my dreams! I have found my Queen!”
The entire hall erupted in massive shock. The other six girls, including Amaka, were absolutely stunned. There were loud whispers throughout the palace. Some people said Chisom’s cooking must have been pure magic, while others grumbled that the sudden decision was highly unfair. But most people in the village simply rejoiced; if their beloved Prince was happy, they were happy too.
Chisom was immediately taken into the inner chambers of the Palace. She was treated like royalty, pampered with milk baths and dressed in expensive silks. She was officially the Queen-in-waiting.
Inside the palace walls, Chisom played the part perfectly. She was highly respectful to the royal family, honoring King Okiki and treating Prince Chima like a god. But outside the palace walls, a very different, arrogant side of her emerged.
The sudden elevation to power completely intoxicated Chisom. She became extremely prideful. The sweet, humble village girl everyone knew died, replaced by a haughty, arrogant woman who felt she was above the world.
The biggest casualty of her new attitude was her friendship with Amaka.
Amaka, possessing a genuinely pure heart, was incredibly happy for her friend. She harbored no jealousy, only joy that someone she loved had won the ultimate prize. But whenever Amaka trekked all the way from her house to the Palace gates to visit her best friend, Chisom would do the unthinkable.
Chisom would sit comfortably in her luxurious room, look out the window, and instruct the heavily armed palace guards to lie. “Tell that dirty village girl I am not around,” Chisom would sneer, sipping palm wine from a golden cup. “Tell her the future Queen is too busy to associate with commoners.”
Amaka would stand at the gate, completely heartbroken, feeling deeply rejected and left out. She couldn’t understand why the palace had changed her sister so much. Chisom started actively avoiding Amaka, feeling on top of the world, convinced that she had successfully outsmarted everyone and secured her glorious future.
Time flew by in the kingdom, and the dynamics continued to shift. But as our elders say, the triumph of the wicked is always short-lived.
A heavy, dark cloud suddenly descended upon the kingdom. King Okiki, after ruling peacefully for many decades, took his final breath and passed away to join the ancestors. It was a period of massive national mourning. The kingdom wept for days.
Now, the time had finally come for Prince Chima to be officially crowned King, which meant Chisom would be crowned Queen alongside him.
However, according to the strict, unbreakable traditions of the land, there was one final hurdle. The third and final test that the Prince had mentioned on the very first day was finally revealed by the Chief Priest.
To officially sit on the throne and wear the Queen’s crown, Chisom needed to prove that she was fertile. She needed to conceive and bear a royal child for the Prince.
At first, Chisom was not worried. She was young, healthy, and she had the Prince completely wrapped around her finger thanks to the love potion. But as months turned into a full year, and then two years, a heavy panic began to set in.
Chisom could not get pregnant.
Despite all the luxury, the best palace food, and the constant attention of the Prince, her womb remained completely closed. This alarming situation worried her, and it heavily worried Prince Chima, who was under massive pressure from the council of elders to produce an heir.
Desperate to find a solution and find out why the gods were blocking their blessings, Prince Chima decided to take matters into his own hands. One hot, quiet afternoon, he secretly left the palace and journeyed deep into the sacred forest to consult the Chief Priest of the land.
The Chief Priest was an ancient, highly revered man who saw things ordinary eyes could never comprehend. He sat inside his dark shrine, throwing cowries and ancient bones onto the sandy floor.
The Prince sat nervously, waiting for the gods to speak.
The Chief Priest studied the pattern of the bones, and suddenly, his eyes widened in sheer horror. He looked up at the Prince, his face contorted in anger.
“My Prince,” the priest said, his voice shaking with divine revelation. “Your inability to have a child is not a medical problem. It is a spiritual curse. The gods are angry!”
“Angry? Why?” Prince Chima asked, his heart pounding.
“Because you have been deceived!” the priest thundered. “The woman sleeping in your bed, the woman you call your future Queen, is a fraud! There is a very dark secret about that cooking test. She cheated you, my Prince. She poisoned your mind with a powerful, demonic love potion. The gods have closed her womb because a throne built on dark magic and deceit can never produce a royal heir!”
Prince Chima felt as if a heavy hammer had smashed directly into his chest. The unnatural, obsessive fog that had clouded his mind for the past two years began to violently lift.
Furious, deeply hurt, and feeling utterly violated, the Prince mounted his horse and galloped back to the palace with the speed of lightning.
He stormed into Chisom’s luxurious chambers, his eyes blazing with a terrifying fire. He locked the door behind him and backed her into a corner.
“Tell me the truth!” Prince Chima roared, his voice shaking the walls. “What did you put in your food during the cooking test? If you lie to me, I will have you executed for treason right now!”
At first, Chisom was frozen with terror. She tried to open her mouth to deny it, to spin a web of lies, but when she looked into the Prince’s furious eyes, she knew it was over. She knew that the Chief Priest had exposed her. She realized that keeping the secret would not save her life.
Weeping bitterly, she collapsed onto the cold marble floor.
“I am sorry! I am so sorry!” she wailed, tears streaming down her face. And then, she confessed everything. She told the Prince how she had sneaked to Amaka’s window, how she had overheard Amaka’s greedy mother planning to betray her, and how panic drove her into the arms of the dark herbalist.
“I was terrified of losing the crown!” Chisom cried. “I went to the herbalist, and he gave me the potion! I put it in the food! I didn’t want to hurt you, I just wanted you to choose me!”
When the royal council and the people of the Kingdom heard the shocking confession, the entire land was thrown into absolute chaos. No one ever expected the sweet, beautiful Chisom to commit such a diabolical, wicked act. The shock was monumental. In a single day, the carefully constructed facade crumbled.
Chisom’s dark secret completely changed how people saw her. She was no longer the admired, lucky future Queen. She was now a manipulative, desperate cheat who had used witchcraft to steal the destiny of the kingdom.
The judgment was swift and merciless. Chisom was stripped of all her expensive silks, her gold, and her royal titles. She was dragged out of the palace in pure disgrace and banished from the royal court. She lost her dignity, she lost her best friend, and she lost the crown she had sold her soul to acquire.
Prince Chima was incredibly sad and deeply heartbroken by the massive betrayal. He felt foolish for being manipulated so easily. But as the fog of the love potion completely cleared from his system, his mind became sharp and observant again.
He started to think about the other girls from the competition, especially Amaka. He remembered how Amaka had gracefully accepted defeat without a single word of complaint. He remembered hearing stories of how Amaka would trek to the palace just to check on her friend, only to be turned away and humiliated, yet she never fought back or caused a scene.
Prince Chima realized that while he was blindly looking for a Queen, a woman with a genuinely pure, honest, and caring spirit had been right in front of him all along.
Without wasting any time, the Prince sent his royal guards to bring Amaka to the palace.
When Amaka arrived, looking simple but breathtakingly beautiful in her natural state, Prince Chima humbled himself. He apologized for how she had been treated and looked deeply into her honest eyes.
“Amaka,” the Prince said softly, holding her hands. “I was blinded by dark magic, but now my eyes are open. I have seen your patience, your pure heart, and your unbreakable loyalty. Will you do me the greatest honor of marrying me and becoming my true Queen?”
Amaka was completely shocked. Her heart leaped with absolute joy. She had always genuinely liked Prince Chima, not just for his crown, but because she saw the innate goodness in his soul. She knew he would be a fantastic, loving King.
With tears of joy shining in her eyes, Amaka smiled brightly and said, “Yes, my Prince.”
Their wedding was the most spectacular event the kingdom had ever witnessed. It was a celebration of truth over deceit, light over darkness. And because the gods heavily reward purity of heart, not long after they got married, Amaka conceived. The entire kingdom erupted in massive celebration when she safely delivered a healthy, bouncing baby boy—the true royal heir.
With King Chima and Queen Amaka ruling the land side by side, the kingdom transformed into a paradise. They led the people with intense love, radical honesty, and deep compassion. They cared deeply about the poor and always ensured that justice prevailed. Under their righteous rule, the kingdom grew stronger, wealthier, and incredibly happy.
Queen Amaka showed every young girl in the land what it truly means to wear a crown. She proved that being a Queen is not about wearing expensive clothes, stepping on others, or living in a massive palace. It is about having a pure heart, being fiercely loyal, and caring deeply for the well-being of others.
The tragic fall of Chisom and the glorious rise of Amaka became a powerful folktale told by mothers to their daughters around the evening fire for many generations. It served as a permanent reminder that seeking personal gain through wickedness, deceit, and the destruction of others will eventually lead to a devastating downfall.
True beauty is not the paint on your face, but the purity of your heart—because a throne stolen by witchcraft will eventually be set on fire by the gods!
