THE REASON WHY SHE WANTED HIM USELESS WILL LEAVE YOU SPEECHLESS! – Ty

“Oh God, please let my son be useless.” His mother said as she cried on her knees, tears pouring down her face as she repeated prayer over and over again, asking God not to make her son successful. “Don’t let anyone know his name.” She said as her son stood by her door, shocked to hear his mother praying for his own downfall.

So grab our coloring book today and note that we are running free delivery within Nigeria next 48 hours. Once upon a time, there lived a young man whose mother prayed that he be useless.

His name was Chidi and he was a man who had spent his entire life trying to make his mother proud. Chidi could not understand why his mother did not want him to succeed. He stood there frozen outside her bedroom door unable to believe what his ears had just heard. “Oh God, please let my son be useless.” The words echoed in his mind over and over again as he tried to convince himself that he misheard.

Was he hearing things? Had he misunderstood? Surely no mother would pray for her own child to fail. Not his mother, not the woman who had raised him since he was a baby. Yet, there she was, still crying, still pleading with God to make him fail. His legs suddenly became weak as he quietly stepped away from the door before his mother noticed, he walked back to his room completely silent as he sat on the edge of his bed, broken.

For the first time in years, everything began to make more sense. All the memories he had buried deep inside began to rush back like a storm. Just like the day his teacher selected him to represent the school in a national mathematics competition 12 years ago. Chidi had solved every question during the qualifying exam faster than the older student.

Everyone believed he would win. His teacher even visited his house personally to speak to his mother. “Madam,” the teacher said as he smiled, “Your son has an incredible gift. This competition could change his future.” He said to his mother who smiled politely and promised that he would be there. However, on the morning of the competition, she woke him up 3 hours late.

By the time they reached the venue, the competition had already ended. Chidi was so devastated. He blamed himself and promised that such would never happen again. Yet, a few years later, his secondary school announced an international science contest. The winner would travel abroad on a fully sponsored educational tour. His teachers practically begged him to enter.

Once again, his mother refused. “There are enough scientists in this world,” she said coldly as she tried to convince him not to partake in the contest. Chidi secretly filled out the form in school hoping that his mother would not find out. However, she found out and tore the form into tiny pieces right in front of him.

“You are not going anywhere,” she said as he remembered staring at the shredded paper on the floor wondering what he had done to deserve such cruelty from his own mother. Then came his university days when he gained admission into one of the country’s universities every semester became a battle as his mother always claimed that there was no money.

“We are struggling.” she would say as she always urged him to wait. Meanwhile, he watched her buy expensive fabrics, shoes, bags, and even phones. One time, he even saw his mother lending some money to their neighbor who wanted to start up a new business. Yet, somehow, there was never enough for his school fees.

Twice, he was sent out of class. Once, he almost lost his admission completely. It wasn’t until he won a scholarship that covered his tuition that she finally stopped arguing. There was nothing she could do. The scholarship paid the school directly. She couldn’t stop it. Even then, she never celebrated. She simply nodded and walked away.

Whenever people praised him, she would change the subject. Whenever he received awards, she suddenly became strangely unhappy. Something always happened. A missed deadline, a forgotten document, a hidden invitation letter, a phone call she claimed she never received. He had always convinced himself that these were unfortunate coincidences.

After all, she was his mother. Why would she deliberately stand in the way of his success? But now, standing outside her bedroom door, listening to her beg God to make him useless, those incidents no longer looked like accidents. They looked like a pattern, a terrifying one. Tomorrow turned out to be the biggest day of his life.

He had qualified for an international innovation competition. The winner would receive millions in prize money, a full scholarship overseas, huge publicity, and opportunities that could change his future forever. His invention had already attracted attention. Several judges had described him as the favorite to win.

For weeks, everyone around him had been excited. Everyone except his own mother. Just yesterday, she had looked him in the eyes and said quietly, “You don’t have to go.” He laughed, thinking she was simply worried. Now, he realized that she meant every word that she said. He slowly wiped the tears from his own eyes as his mind pondered on why.

Why would his own mother fear his success more than anything else? What secret was she so desperate to keep buried that she would rather see her own son leave an ordinary and forgotten life than become the man who he had always dreamed of becoming? Little did he know that his mother was hiding a secret that would soon collide with his own destiny in a way that he could never undo.

But Chidi had made up his mind. For the first time in his life, he was not going to listen. That night, he packed his documents quietly. No argument, no explanation, no goodbye. By 5:00 in the morning, before the sun had fully risen, Chidi left the house. His mother was still asleep. For once, she would not stop him.

Or so he thought. As he walked down the quiet street, his phone began to ring. It was his mother who continued to call his number repeatedly. Chidi stared at the screen as his fingers tightened around the phone. Then, he switched it off completely. “No more,” he whispered. “No more delays.” He increased his pace and headed straight for the competition venue.

For the first time, he felt free as though destiny was finally taking shape. By the time he arrived the hall, the place was already buzzing with energy. Judges, cameras, students, investors, everything he had worked for, everything he had been denied. A lecturer from his department suddenly rushed towards him. “Chidi, wait. Chidi.

” He stopped briefly as the man informed him that his mother had an accident that morning. “She’s been rushed to the hospital.” He said as Chidi froze. For a moment, he tried to believe it, but Chidi knew his mother better. With her, there was always one drama or the other whenever he was close to a breakthrough, and Chidi was not willing to allow her win this time around.

So, he shook his head slightly and assured the man that he would take care of it once the competition is over. With that, he walked inside as the door shut behind him, cutting him off from the world that he just came from. Hours later, Chidi stood on stage, his hands steady, his voice confident, his mind completely focused.

Every question, every presentation, every challenge, he delivered flawlessly. When he finally stepped down, the hall erupted. He had done it. He was so sure that he had won. For the first time in his life, he was free. So, he immediately reached for his phone and dialed his mother’s number as he couldn’t wait for her to pick.

The phone rang and rang and rang until a strange voice picked and revealed that his mother was in the hospital. She was rushing to stop him from entering into the competition when she was hit by a bus. Chidi’s expression changed, and for the first time that day, his heart raced with fear. Not victory, not pride, but fear.

He grabbed his bag and ran to the hospital. Chidi arrived breathless. His mother lay on the bed, unconscious, surrounded by machines. Her face looked smaller, weaker, and not controlling. He sat beside her bed, and for the first time in years, he felt something he had never allowed himself to feel, guilt. “Why?” he whispered.

“Why would you do this? Why would you try to stop me? He asked his mother, who lay there unconscious. Hours passed and Chidi basked in the guilt that was now swallowing him whole. He stayed by her side all through the night, silent, watching her breathe through the machines, blaming himself for her accident.

The next morning, news broke that Chidi had won the competition. His face was everywhere. TV screens, social media, headlines. His dream had come true, but he couldn’t smile. He couldn’t celebrate. He just sat in the hospital chair, staring at the ground. Then, minutes later, his phone rang. It was his department head. Chidi, there’s someone looking for you.

Who? She didn’t say much, just insisted that she must see you. She gave me a name, but I don’t think you know her. Chidi listened carefully. The name meant nothing, but something in his chest tightened. An hour later, a nurse walked into the ward. Your mother just regained slight consciousness, she said softly, but there’s someone here to see you, she said, as Chidi stood up slowly and walked towards the waiting room.

There, sitting alone, was a woman who he had never seen before in his life, but the moment she saw him, she broke down completely as tears flooded her face. Chidi, she said as she handed him a photograph that made his eyes shoot open in shock. It was a picture of his mother wearing a maid’s uniform as she held the baby in her arms.

Next to her was this same woman, smiling as she adjusted the baby’s cap. Chidi did not know what to make of the picture until the woman revealed to him that she was his mother. She revealed that the woman he believed was his mother was in fact her maid, who ran away with her baby 25 years ago. The woman revealed that she got to find him when a picture of his mother and himself began to go viral online.

For 25 years, she never stopped searching. Every birthday, she placed a small cake beside the only baby photograph that she had left. Wondering if her son was still alive somewhere. She followed every lead the police gave her, hired private investigators, and even visited orphanages and hospitals whenever someone claimed to have seen a child who resembled her son.

As the years passed, hope became harder to hold on to, but she never allowed herself to stop believing that one day she would finally see her son again. Chidi stood there frozen as the photograph trembled in his hand. His mind refused to process the words. “She was your maid?” he whispered as the woman nodded through tears.

“Yes, but she was never supposed to leave that house with you.” Chidi’s breath became uneven. He looked back at the photo again. The smiling maid, the baby in her arms. As he tried so hard believe her story, “No.” He shook his head slowly. “That’s not possible.” The woman stepped closer, her voice broken, as she continued to speak. “She was my maid.

I took her in when she had nothing. She worked for me for years, quietly, faithfully, until I had my baby. At first, everything was going on fine until I noticed how attached she was to you. My husband tried to convince me that it was good to have a maid who loved my child. I was so grateful to her as I watched her care for you like her own child.

Until one morning when we woke up and realized that she was gone with my baby. We searched everywhere for you, involved the police, and even tracked her down to her father’s house, where her people denied ever seeing her. In fact, they began to accuse us of using their daughter for rituals, and the case went on for years until the police decided to close it down.

The investigation slowly ran out of leads, as there were no security cameras or mobile phone records, and very few documents that could help locate someone who had disappeared into thin air. As the months turned into years, the case became another cold file sitting untouched in the police archives. Everyone assumed that she was dead, or that something had happened to you, too, until my friend sent me your picture yesterday, asking if this was my mate.

Chidi stood there completely still, as the woman’s voice faded into the background. Every word she had just said replayed in his mind, as he finally realized that he had been stolen, not lost, not abandoned, stolen. Chidi slowly turned his head towards his mother’s hospital ward, the woman who had cried for him, protected him, and now collapsed under the weight of a truth that she had buried for 25 years.

Chidi could not believe his years. So, all this time, I was never hers? The woman in front of him shook her head gently, as tears poured down her eyes. She stole you from me, and I’ve been looking for you for 25 years. Chidi dropped into the chair behind him. His hands covered his face, as memories came crashing in again, but now they looked different.

The overprotectiveness, the fear, the missed competitions, the blocked opportunities, the strange prayers, it was no longer hatred. It was fear. Fear of discovery, fear of loss, fear of the truth spilling out. He suddenly stood up, as he walked straight to his mother’s ward. His mother, who was lying there in pain, opened her eyes and saw him looking down on her, his face unreadable.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then, Chidi finally whispered, “Tell me the truth, Mom. Am I really your son?” Her lips trembled, as tears slipped from the corner of her eyes. She saw the woman standing behind her and knew that the truth was now out. “I didn’t want you to find out like this.” Chidi’s voice rose slightly.

“Then how did you want me to find out?” Chidi replied his mother, who began to narrate the whole story to him. “I was nothing, Chidi.” Her voice cracked. “I was a maid in that house, invisible, disposable, replaceable. I watched them live a life I could never dream of.” She paused, struggling to breathe. “I grew close to my madam’s husband, and we had an affair. I know

it was wrong. I know.” Her tears fell faster now. “But I was lonely. I was empty, and he made me feel seen.” Chidi did not move. “I got pregnant for him, and he told me to remove it. Three times. Three babies.” Chidi’s expression darkened slightly. “The first time I agreed. The second time I cried, but I still did it. The third time” She closed her eyes.

“The doctor advised me that if I take out the baby, it would damage my womb. He informed me that I would never have children again if I decided to go through with it.” Her hand shook violently as she revealed that she went to him to inform him of what the doctor had said, but instead of being reasonable, he beat her up mercilessly, resulting in the loss of the same pregnancy.

He even asked me, “What good is a child born into poverty?” And that he had just saved the child from a life of suffering that he or she was destined to be born into. Chidi’s breathing became heavier as he watched his mother narrate how her boss’s wife gave birth to her own baby on the same day that she lost hers.

She revealed how broken she felt when the news got to her ears. She had just lost a child, whilst her boss celebrated the birth of his own baby. Chidi stood there motionless as his mother’s voice faded into silence. Her tears had soaked the pillow beneath her head, but she wasn’t done yet. Her voice trembled as she continued.

“That night, something inside me broke completely. I walked through that house, and saw her celebrating her newborn baby. I heard them laughing, celebrating life, while mine had just ended for the third time.” Silence filled the room, as Chidi’s expression slowly hardened. “So, that was it? You stole me because you were hurt?” She shook her head quickly. “No. No, that’s not it.

” Tears poured down her face. “I stole you because I lost control of myself. I wasn’t thinking like a human being anymore. I saw you sleeping, and I told myself, if I cannot be a mother, then she also cannot enjoy being one. Talk less of my boss, who had ruined my life.” A long silence followed, as Chidi stepped backwards.

For the first time, he wasn’t confused anymore. He wasn’t on anymore. He was seeing everything clearly. The pain, the destruction, the stolen life, the ruined lives on both sides. Two women, one crime, and one child, who had lived his entire life as collateral damage. He exhaled slowly. “So, my whole life was built on punishment?” The woman he had called mother did not answer, because it was true.

Outside the ward, footsteps rushed in, as police officers entered the hospital corridor. After recognizing the woman in the viral photographs, Chidi’s biological mother immediately contacted the police and reopened the case. Detectives compared old case records, photographs, and personal details that matched what they had been searching for decades.

Once they confirmed there was sufficient evidence to reopen the investigation, they accompanied her to the hospital to formally question the woman who had disappeared with the child 25 years ago. Behind them, the biological mother stood quietly as she watched the officers arrest the woman who stole her baby 25 years ago.

The officers cuffed Chidi to the bed as Chidi stood there dumbfounded as he wondered what would become of him now. His biological mother was on one side, happy to have him back after 25 years, whilst the woman who he had grown to call mother was being arrested for a crime that was centered around him. Chidi got to realize that his father died a year ago, taking with him whatever answers of forgiveness might have once existed.

He stood there for a long moment, his chest rising and falling as if the world itself had paused with him. Then, he slowly stepped back, shaking his head as tears filled his eyes. “I am not a punishment.” he said as he looked at the woman who raised him, then at the woman who gave him life and realized that neither of them had truly owned him.

With a deep breath, he turned away from both stories as he walked out of the hospital, not as a stolen child, but as a man who was finally choosing to start his own life again. He made up his mind to be involved in the two women’s lives despite all that had happened. If you were Chidi, what would you have done? From Traffic Rage to Midnight Terror: The Shocking Expressway Incident That Changed One Woman’s Life Forever

Article:

In the fast-paced, high-pressure rhythm of modern urban life, daily commutes often serve as battlegrounds where patience wears thin and tempers flare. For millions of people navigating congested city arteries, the steering wheel can easily become an instrument of frustration rather than merely a tool for transportation. Yet, beneath the veneer of ordinary traffic arguments and petty roadside disputes lies a profound and unsettling truth: human beings rarely stop to consider the unpredictable consequences of their actions. A single harsh word, an arrogant gesture, or an unbridled burst of anger can effortlessly open a door to an unimaginable nightmare, forever altering the course of an individual’s existence. Such was the stark and harrowing reality faced by Ronke, a successful senior accounts manager whose fiery temper ultimately led her down a dark path of fear, survival, and profound self-discovery.

Ronke was an intelligent, hardworking, and exceptionally ambitious professional working at a prominent marketing firm in the bustling commercial capital of Lagos. Known for her dedication and sharp intellect, she commanded respect in her professional sphere. However, her life was perpetually overshadowed by one critical flaw: an explosive and uncontrollable temper. While this volatility surfaced across various aspects of her life, it was on the chaotic asphalt of the city’s roadways that her personality truly transformed. To Ronke, the road was not a shared public utility, but rather a competitive arena where weakness was intolerable and every perceived slight required an immediate, aggressive response.

Over the years, her road rage had become legendary among her inner circle. She had once abandoned her vehicle in the middle of a major bridge to drag a motorist out of his car simply because he failed to use an indicator. On another occasion, she smashed a driver’s side mirror with her bare hands after he splashed water onto her pristine white blouse, and she regularly chased commercial transport vehicles across neighborhoods just to berate their drivers in full view of passengers. Friends learned quickly to avoid riding in her car, and her younger sister, Bissy, often described sitting beside Ronke in traffic as equivalent to sitting next to a ticking time bomb. Despite repeated warnings from her mother and sister that her unmanaged anger would eventually carry her to a place of no return, Ronke remained defiant. She firmly believed that she was untouchable, convinced that anyone daring to cross her path on the road would inevitably regret it.

That unyielding arrogance met its ultimate test on an ordinary Friday evening. Exhausted from a grueling workweek and yearning for the quiet comfort of her home, Ronke navigated the notoriously congested expressway. The traffic was suffocating, crawling forward at a snail’s pace and testing the patience of every weary commuter. True to form, Ronke grew increasingly restless, weaving aggressively between lanes and cutting off motorists who had patiently waited their turn. Most drivers simply hissed in annoyance and allowed her passage, unwilling to waste energy on an obvious hothead. However, her aggressive maneuvers eventually intersected with a sleek black SUV driven by a middle-aged man who possessed a calm, unshakeable composure.

When Ronke attempted to aggressively force her vehicle in front of his without signaling, the man refused to yield. He maintained his position firmly, blocking her path. Infuriated by his refusal to cede ground, Ronke began honking incessantly. When that failed to elicit a reaction, she rolled down her window and hurled sharp insults, expecting the man to either cower in fear or engage in a loud shouting match. Instead, the man calmly rolled down his window, looking at her with an unsettling tranquility. In a voice completely devoid of panic, he remarked that everyone on the road was rushing toward a destination and that she was not special.

His utter calmness enraged Ronke further. Driven by pride and fury, she wrenched her steering wheel, cutting him off so sharply that he had to slam on his brakes with a deafening screech of tires to avoid a catastrophic collision. Expecting him to finally curse or retaliate, Ronke was instead met with an eerie silence as the man simply stared at her through his windscreen. Then, without warning, he began to follow her.

Initially dismissive, Ronke continued her journey, weaving through the thick traffic while convinced she had triumphed in yet another roadside confrontation. But as minutes ticked away, a glance into her rearview mirror revealed a chilling reality: the black SUV remained directly on her tail, effortlessly matching her every turn, lane change, and speed adjustment. A creeping sense of unease washed over her. Seeking to test the driver’s intentions, she deliberately veered off her usual route, taking erratic and unfamiliar turns through quiet neighborhoods. Yet, the black vehicle shadowed her persistently, mirroring every movement with mechanical precision.

Panic finally pierced through her stubborn exterior. With her phone battery completely depleted because she had accidentally left her charger at the office, Ronke had no electronic lifeline to call for help. Stranded in the gathering darkness on unfamiliar roads far away from familiar territory, her mind raced through terrifying scenarios. She thought of kidnappers, ritualists, and robbers, haunted by sensational crime stories she had read online. Her hands grew slick with cold sweat against the steering wheel as the air conditioning failed to cool the rising heat of her terror.

Driven by sheer desperation, she pressed hard on the accelerator, careening blindly down unpaved, unlit roads surrounded by dense bushes and abandoned structures. When her fuel gauge began to flash frantically, warning her that her journey was nearing a mechanical halt, Ronke made a split-second, instinctual decision. She yanked the car to a halt by the roadside, abandoned her vehicle, and plunged headfirst into the thick, dark bush on foot, seeking desperate refuge in the wilderness.

Stumbling blindly through sharp thorns, high grass, and uneven earth, she shed her heels in a frantic bid for speed, driven entirely by the primal urge to survive. After pushing deep into the forest interior, a faint sound arrested her attention: human voices. Heart hammering against her ribs, she crept closer, praying for the salvation of a rural farming community where she could beg for assistance. Instead, peering through the dense foliage, she was met with a scene straight out of a political thriller.

Parked neatly beneath the canopy of trees were several high-end SUVs with their engines humming quietly. Standing in a loose circle were numerous heavily armed men, operating with military precision. At the center of the gathering stood a prominent, influential public figure: Senator Kolade Adisa, a powerful political heavyweight whose benevolent face smiled down from billboards across the state, promising infrastructure, transparency, and a better tomorrow. Cloaked in a pristine white agbada that remained spotless despite the rustic surroundings, the senator was issuing cold, calculated instructions regarding clandestine money shipments, strict secrecy, and the absolute intolerance of mistakes that could compromise their clandestine operations.

Realizing the immense danger of her position, Ronke froze, her mouth clamped shut in sheer terror as she absorbed the gravity of the situation. She had accidentally stumbled upon a high-level criminal conspiracy involving powerful individuals who would undoubtedly kill to protect their secrets. As she carefully began to retrace her steps to escape detection, a sudden disturbance alerted a guard dog, setting off a chaotic chain reaction. Shouts erupted through the forest, flashlight beams sliced through the dark canopy in search of intruders, and a gunshot cracked sharply through the night air, splitting the silence.

Driven by a surge of adrenaline, Ronke ran blindly through the underbrush, her body burning with exhaustion and terror, until she miraculously located the road and her abandoned car. Without pausing to catch her breath, she leapt into the vehicle and sped away into the night, driving erratically until she finally recognized familiar landmarks that guided her back to the safety of her residential compound.

Upon bursting through her front door, she collapsed into the arms of her deeply worried sister, Bissy, weeping uncontrollably as she recounted the unbelievable sequence of events. The terrifying pursuit, the lonely forest, the armed guards, and the sinister reality behind a beloved politician painted a grim picture of a world far more dangerous than she had ever anticipated. Although she later discovered that her missing purse had simply been left behind at a local supermarket and retrieved safely the following morning, and though no mysterious pursuers came knocking on her door in the subsequent weeks, the psychological impact of that fateful night remained permanently etched into her soul.

From that day forward, Ronke underwent a profound and lasting transformation. The aggressive, hot-tempered driver who once fought tooth and nail for every inch of pavement vanished entirely. She learned to practice extreme patience in traffic, exercising humility and grace even when provoked by reckless motorists. The harrowing ordeal taught her an invaluable life lesson: uncontrolled anger can easily snowball into a catastrophic nightmare, and preserving one’s safety and peace of mind is infinitely more important than winning a petty argument with a stranger.
