Many years ago in the busy city of Lagos, there lived a woman named Amara. She was loved by almost everyone. People call her Madame A and they would always refer her as a woman that is blessed because anytime you come to her store to buy clothes, her smile can even sell clothes for you, she knows how to treat her customers well, smiling and always kind with her

words. But the truth was, Amara’s life was not as perfect as it looked. She was married to Chik, a very tall, handsome man with a sweet voice. Chik had a way of making everyone like him. If Chica walked inside a room, people will first greet him before anyone else. Because he looked like a complete gentleman with no issues and they believed that Chik was a scent.

thought it was only Amara, his wife, that knows who truly her husband is. From the early years of their marriage, Chik had a problem. He likes to borrow and the Boro started small. He would go to Amara shop and tell her, “Babe, can you borrow me 50,000 NRA, please? I will return it.” Amara being the good wife will borrow him the 50,000.

She will sell it any anyhow so that she will raise some money that her husband is in deep trouble because of money. And she kept on deceiving herself. That’s just the worst part. One day Amara was in her shop arranging some clothes when one woman bashed in crying. Her eye were really red from crying. Amar asked her what the problem is and the woman started. So she kept quiet and she kept paying all the bra that chicken is ringing on her head. She kept on covering for his lies and chicken was busy enjoying the fact that he has a wife who paid for all his debt.

So why would he do anything? He just sit at home and does nothing. One rainy evening, Chica came back home smiling like someone that won jackpot. And I asked him, “H babe, this one you smiling. Then one Sunday after church pastor called Amara aside.

Ah sister Amara. Pastor called her smiling very boldly. H please tell your husband thank you eh help me and thank him so much. Even he promised the youth group. It will really help. We’re expecting him to you know fulfill his promise of bringing the loan. We have already arranged what we are going to use the loan to do. Amara was shocked.

Her business is trending. Even outside social media, her clothing line is very popular. So because of that influence, Chik was able to use it to scam a man 10 million NRA and he told the man that he will use the money, put it in his wife business and he will get double the money in 3 months.

The man trusted him all because he used his wife’s name, Amara. Amara was actually a very respected businesswoman in Lagos. Amar didn’t know all of these things. Ch continued to lie to this man and that was how he scammed him of 10 whooping millionaire. But unfortunately for CH this time around his victim were just not anybody.

The man in question was the son of a retired military general. When the young man realized that he has been tricked because three months passed and the doubled of the money that he was supposed to get did not come up, he asked Chave value for the money and Ch was giving him all the story in this world. The man now told him to return the 10 million naira and did not bother putting any profit on top.

Yet Chik could not bring out the 10 million naira. It was then the man knew that Chik had just scammed him. The man did not bother exchanging words or threatening Chik on the phone. He kept quiet. He didn’t argue with him. He only told Chry that he will pay him, right? CH said yes. Said no problem. Two of us will see very soon.

And that was the only words he dropped. That week, the retired general himself went to anti-fraud police. He gave them every detail about Chik and instructed them to make Chik a very good example to people that like scamming others because Chick had been using Amar’s name in almost every deal. Amar’s name was also on the list of the people that will be dealt with.

Unfortunately for her, that same week, it was Amara’s 35th birthday. The house was full of friends, music, and all the enjoyment that was going on. She had prepared that birthday as the best birthday of her life. She got one of the best designer clothes and her makeup was perfect from head to toe.

She was so happy. Not until the siren came at the celebration ground. Before anyone could talk or act anything, four police van stopped in front of their house. The policemen marched into the compound shouting, “Who is Amar? Who is Mrs. Amarach?” And they instructed the DJ to turn down the music. All eyes turned to Amara.

Amara came forward. Yes, I am. I am Amara. Before Amara could finish saying her name, one officer stepped forward. You are under arrest for aiding and betting fraud and money launder. Amara was confused. She then turned to Chik. With the way Chik was frozen and his hand was shaking, she knew it was her husband.

Then another officer grabbed Chik. You two you are under arrest for multiple counts of fraud. Guest shattered. Ha. Some of them brought out phone and started videoing. People started gossiping. Ah, I knew something was off about them. So this is where all the money they have been lavishing came from. E. As they dragged Amara to the van, she saw neighbor peeping from the window. Her gold dress no longer shine.

It felt heavy. In fact, e it was as if Amara was wearing shame all over her. She did not in her life think that she will be embarrassed in such a manner. As she got to the police station that day. She could not reach any of her family members. Because of that, Amara had to spend time in the police cell.

As they locked her up in one of the cell, Amara could not believe that someone like her could be inside the prison sitting on a cold floor and a dirty environment. Her mind was just spinning. How did I get here? Ah, my parents warned me about chick but I couldn’t listen. One of my best friend even told me that this guy is too smooth.

This kind of people they are too smooth. They are con artist but I did not listen. Now I’ve been doing everything to hide my husband’s shame. I never knew that this shame will bring me to this kind of embarrassment. Public embarrassment. Ah chicken. It will not be well with you. Amara had to spend one whole week in the police cell before she was able to get to her family.

That was how the father and the mother rushed and released her. When she was released, her parents had to take her home because the house she built with her own money was taken over by the general. All because of the 10 million naira she was owing. They told her until the loan is paid off with interest, that is the only time the house will be released to her.

Amara was not even on the right frame of mind to fight anybody. She had to go to her parents’ house. And when she got there, two nights after, she received a call from an unknown number. And the person told her that she has an information about her husband. She should meet her up in a restaurant. Amara thought maybe Chick again is trying to play prank.

Or better still, one of the persons that he’s owing is trying to come and arrest her again, she refused going. But when her mother told her that she would accompany her, that was when Amara agreed to go and meet the person since it’s something related to the husband. When Amara and her mother got the restaurant, they met a very pretty young lady.

As they sat to talk, the lady told them, “I am here to tell you things maybe you do not know about your husband, but I think it’s the right time for you to know. Are you aware that your husband Ch is married to my sister too?” Amir was confused. Married to your sister as in how is that possible? Well, I want you to know that my sister is married to your husband and they have two children.

But the thing is that my sister does not stay in Nigeria. She lives in Ghana. And your husband comes there frequently, maybe once in a month, I’m sorry, or sometimes twice in a month. He visits and I’ve always seen him because I stay with them. When the news of your husband’s arrest got all through the whole social media and your name was mentioned, my sister was shocked because she doesn’t even know that the man she got married to also has a wife, which turns out to be you.

So instead of her having this information, I decided to come back all the way from Ghana to come and tell you myself that your husband is also married to my sister. So you should know your stand that your husband also has mistress because from the look of things you seems to be the first wife and my sister seems to be the mistress.

The house in Ghana it was your husband that built it. He pays my sister monthly salary. Please do I don’t know whether this will cause a rift or your marriage have ended. My sister said I should make sure I come here and tell you everything. She did not know so that it will not be as if she’s tearing another man’s marriage and cost will be placed on her own children.

It was then Mara’s head went blank. She thought of all the loans, the endless debt she kept on paying the lie. I am traveling for work. I’ll be back in the next 3 days. So it was the second wife that Chick was always going to see the late nights the the the call that he will be making and be whispering.

Ah Amara shed hot tears that day inside the restaurant. God what have I done to deserve this? King a good wife. Is he a bad thing these days? Amara just stood up from that restaurant and walked away with her mother. She didn’t even say anything else to the woman. One month after Amara was released, she received a call and the call came from CH’s lawyer and he told Amara that he wants to see her.

Amara refused to see her, but the man insisted that it was urgent and important they do so. If not, she might lose her husband. Amara decided to give the man a listening ear and invited him over to her parents’ house because that is where she’s still staying. She had not been able to pay off over 20 million naira loan that was on her head so that she could claim her house back.

She still stayed in her parents house and that was where the lawyer came. When the lawyer arrived, Amara asked him what he wanted to talk about. And the lawyer started, “Your husband need your help. He needs to be bailed out.” They said that the only money they will use to bail him out is 5 million naira and after that he will have to pay over 20 million naira so that you two can claim your house back and go back to the way life used to be.

The 5 million naira your husband could not come up with it. So he sent me to you so that he will help out and clear the money so that he will be released. Your husband is suffering in jail. If you see him now, he has really slimmed down and he’s asking why you have not come to visit him after he left. He know he messed up but he’s sorry right now.

What we need to be fighting is his life and how we can be able to, you know, get him out of that place since the the the man that locked him up wants to drop the case. Please, let’s get him out before it will turn to another thing. Amara started to laugh e and she get who out in man that made me sleep in that dirty environment for a whole one week.

I built it with my hard work. That same man that you said I should come and bail ruined my reputation. It will take a while before my reputation will come back.

If he does not have 5 million to bail himself or as a lawyer, you can run around and get the money for him. After all, he knows how to borrow. Immediately she heard that she knew that her husband still have money which means Ch would have to pay the 20 million naira fine that is placed on her house before she could get her house back. Amara had to contact her lawyer and afterwards Chik was arrested again. Amara charged him to court that he used his name in a devious way and use it to scam people.

with that she has a case. When Ch finally met Amara at the police station, he was begging, “Why would you arrest me? My love, please. Now, this is not how we wanted.” Amara did not even allow him to finish talking. GK, if you don’t want to spend the rest of your days in this police station because it’s like this sale is your calling, you will have to pay off the 20 million naira fine on my house.

That is the only way I would let you go off. That is the only way I will drop the charges that was placed on you. After so many back and forths for almost 1 month, Chuccumb and somehow somehow 20 million naira came out of this man pocket and immediately Amara received the money. She used it and clear off the general, the military general’s son, and took back her house.

And afterwards, she divorced Chick and made sure that he left with nothing, not even a pin. Amar made sure that she stripped him of everything she bought, the car, the clothes, in fact, down to the boxers that Chick was wearing. and Mara made sure she collected everything. She told him that the favor that she’s doing to him is for him to go to his wife in Ghana and continue his life there.

After all, he had the mind to use her hard earned money to go and build house for someone else. Unfortunately for Chik, nothing was left with him. The 20 million NRA he used to bail himself out of the police station was the last money left in his bank account and his freedom was better than being in the police station. When he returned to Ghana where his second family is.

Unfortunately for him too, they have also moved out of the house he built and the woman sold the house and moved out. Chica does not know where the woman is. He has tried so hard to contact her but no way. With this he was stranded and was forced to face the reality of life. Chica had to start living on the street just to feed himself.
