HER Husband DISCOVERED She Has An ILLNESS,You WON’T Believe what He Did.. ##story #folklore #folk – Ty

It was early in the morning in Lagos. Tundday was in the bathroom humming and waiting. That fateful day was his wedding anniversary, 5 years with Amaka. He had even planned to surprise her with dinner at a very nice restaurant later that night. His phone was lying on the table and it began to ring.

Amaka was inside the room. She walked up to pick it up. Just then a smile on her face vanished. St. Mark’s Hospital. Their family doctor was calling. Why is this man calling again? Am picked the call. Hello. Good morning. This is Mrs. Tundday speaking. Oh, good morning madam. H I wanted to speak with your husband because we need to see him today.

It is about your last test results in the hospital. It is very urgent. My test results. Okay. What about it? Please, you and your husband need to come in as soon as possible. We have already emailed the test result to your husband, but you two need to come in and see Dr. Adigu immediately. And Maka ended the call and opened the email.

After reading the test results, she immediately deleted it and also she deleted the call record. Amaka’s mode changed immediately. She saw the test results. Something was wrong somewhere. But she doesn’t want to express it. Just then something came out of the bathroom fresh and smiling. My love, I I heard my phone ringing. Uh yes, it’s it’s no one important.

Is all those people that used to spam call us okay but are you okay? You’re not looking fine. Did anything happen? No. No. Come on. Nothing but nothing is wrong. I’m fine. Even though Tund felt like something was wrong, but he didn’t bother to persuade her to talk. 5 years earlier when Amaka met Tundi in a small church in Surule.

It was raining heavily that day. Tunday just survived a bike accident. His leg was bandaged and he struggled to work. When Amaka cited him, she was really feeling so bad. Though Amaka was a nurse at a local clinic in Sudier. She felt bad seeing a young man so handsome with such bad accident. She helped him immediately to enter the church so that the rain will not beat him.

After Haka helped Tundday that day they both exchanged number and that was how Amaka would always go to his house to go and treat him and check on him. That was how their friendship began. Months later when Tundai’s leg finally got better, he started walking properly. The two of them entered into the main relationship.

Tund asked Amaka out and Amaka agreed. The two of them started dating. But they had just one problem. Tund’s mother doesn’t like Amaka. All because Amaka was an E lady and Tund a Euroba. The two of them are from two different tribe in Nigeria. The mother hated Ebo people. What they did to her, no one knows. That was how she transferred that hatred towards Amaka.

Tund tried all he could to reason with his mother, telling her that Amaka is an evil lady does not make her a bad person. She was born and breed in Lagos. She can speak Euroba fluently. What is the problem? I love this woman. She’s caring. She’s kind. I want her to be the mother of my children.

But Tund’s mother refused over my dead body. How can I be alive and I’ll watch my only son marry an evil woman lie lie and not go and all go work? It will never work. When Amaka noticed that her relationship with Tundi was bringing issue between him and his mother, she decided to step back. But Tundai refused.

It was Tundai that was fighting for the marriage, not Amaka anymore. The sisters stood by their mother that Tund should not marry an able woman. But Tundai refused and still stand by Amaka. Without Tundai’s mother’s blessing, Tund got married to Amaka even though Amaka did not want to go ahead at first. But Tundi found a way to convince her.

With Amaka’s parents’ blessing, the two of them got married for years. They lived like best friends. Tundday always like making noise whenever he’s beating inside the bathroom and Maka would always shout. Ah, this your voice will chase our neighbors. He will. Ah. The two of them will laugh together.

But after 5 years of marriage, one thing still made a marker’s heart heavy. They had no child and her mother-in-law which is Koul’s mother always used that to taunt her all the time. But Tund would always want her mother to stop whatever she’s doing. It will never work and it will never break the love he has for his wife and even his marriage will never break.

Last last they will adopt. Tundday warned his mother to please stop all the harassment on his wife because God’s time is the best. Yet the woman does not listen. And truly Tund loved her deeply and he never complained. Whenever Amaka sees her period, she would always cry. Every month she’s expecting not to see her period and this admit made her to even the belove high BP.

Sunday would always warn her. See, stop this. God will bless us. I don’t know why you’re stressing yourself. If you’re not drinking this one today, you are drinking another one the next day. Maka, stop. Okay. The hospital said we are both fine. So, don’t worry yourself. The two of us, we are going to conceive and give birth to a child.

But after 5 years of marriage, Amaka asked her husband Tundi that they need to go to the hospital to run another test because she has not been feeling herself for some days now. So they met Dr. Adigu who ran the test for them. He has been their family doctor for years. Not until that morning and Maka picked up that call that came from the hospital.

As Tund got ready for work that anniversary morning, he didn’t notice that Amaka had actually stopped eating her food for days. He didn’t notice that her hands are always rested on her tummy as if she was protecting something. He didn’t notice how often Amaka stared at him. Sometimes she would drop tears like where why did God give me this kind of man? Anaka was hiding something.

But Tundday was too busy planning their anniversary that he didn’t even notice. He even booked a table at a rooftop restaurant in Victoria Island. He warned Amaka not to enter the kitchen that day because he will take her out and they will eat something nice that fateful day. After Tundday finished talking, he kissed her goodbye and left for work.

The moment the gates closed and Maka sat on the couch and bust into tears. She covered their mouth so that the neighbors won’t hear so that the people working for them will not notice that she was really crying. After Tundi left, she dressed up and went to the hospital to go and see the doctor. After the doctor told her what the test results shows, Amaka could not believe her ears.

She couldn’t believe her eyes. She was crying all throughout the section with the doctor. By the time she came back home, she pretended all was well. She didn’t even tell Tundday that she went to the hospital or saw a doctor or the test result even came out and this is what the test result is talking about.

Amaka kept everything to herself. Then Chind noticed that she’s always quiet. She no longer talk as she used to and she’s no longer as active as she used to. Amaka is always sleeping. Her eyes look weak and she hardly do anything at home without panting or resting before continuing. Tind asked that severally. All is well.

Amaka pretended. All is well. I’m just having some mood swing hormonal changes. Eh, I asked the doctor. He said is normal for some women, you know. I don’t know, but I just feel weak. But I’ve already checked. There is nothing actually wrong with me. Though Tinder did not actually believe that thing she said 100%.

But he just had to keep his faith alive that nothing is actually wrong with her. Then one evening’s friend Kunlay came to visit him. Boy. Um see I came here because I have something important but I don’t know how to say it. Bro, what do you mean? Talk now. I’m even surprised to see you at my home by this time of the day. You not get work. Yoda is always busy.

What’s going on? Well, you can see that me coming to your house uninvited. It shows that something important carried me to this place. Me, I don’t know how you’re going to see what I’m about to tell you, but I will sh say it because you are my guy. I can’t see such a thing and keep quiet. Bro, I saw your wife. I saw your wife today.

We saw my wife where I saw her at S Max Hospital. She came out of a private board and a man hooked her afterwards. Halked her. Yes. The man looked like a Dr. Sha but I don’t want to believe anything bad but the hug. It was close like they hugged for some minutes before going. Come on. Come on. A cannot betray me now.

You must be joking. Ha. My brother, I just pray is nothing, you know. H just just pray. Sha, but I just want you to open your eyes. Maybe your mother has been right all this while. That night, as Tund was lying down on the bed, he couldn’t sleep. He was just turning side to side of the bed. Come on.

Amaka cannot betray me. Never. But in the morning, he could no longer hold it. He didn’t have to confront Ama. Wait to babe. Have you been going to St. Mark’s hospital recently? Yes. Yes. Just for checkup. Is there any problem? The last time you visited the hospital? Did you go there to do something with the doctor? Is it because we cannot have children? Are you betraying me? Are you cheating on me and Maka? Come on, Tundi.

Where is this one coming from now? I only told you I went for checkup. You’ve noticed how weak and down I’ve been. So I went to check I went for checkup. So after doing the checkup, the doctor came and hooked you so tightly. Come on. Today h is hog now. See because it’s coming from me.

The doctor just hked me out of pity. There is nothing there. There’s nothing there. There is no problem. Tund did not confront her. He pretended all is well. Then one week later on Monday, Tundday pretended he was going to work because Amaka had told him earlier that she will be going to the hospital. He pretended he was going to work but waited for Amaka to get to the hospital.

Then after Amaka entered the hospital, Tundi waited for a little while before he walked in. As Tundra walked in, he did not walk straight to the reception. He just followed Amaka’s shadow where he cited her enter. Just then, as he stood at one of the doctor’s office, Amaka was hugging a doctor before sitting down.

Tundi angrily stormed out of the hospital. His eyes were burning out of anger. He didn’t even wait to look back. He didn’t even care to see that something was actually wrong somewhere. He just went home and was waiting for his wife to come back home that evening. After her maka finally came back home, Tundi was waiting for her at the sitting room.

Oh, finally you’ve decided to come back after ficking with another man. was confused for licking with another man. What are you talking about? Where were Where were you? Where are you coming from right now? I’m coming from the hospital with who? I was there by myself. I went there and I saw our doctor. Family doctor. What happened? You did not go there to see your family doctor.

You went there to see your boyfriend, right? The man you have been cheating on me with. Tunday, don’t me. Oh, don’t try it. Oh, so this is your secret. You are seeing someone else behind my back. Come on, Tundi. No, it’s not what you think. Stop lying. Stop lying. I saw you. I saw you hugging him. Yes, I hugged him.

But it’s not what you think. So when has hugging become a big deal in our marriage? We can hug now. He’s hugging it back now. Did you see me kiss the man or do more than that? Please listen to me please. But Tund did not want to listen. He pulled himself away and walked into the bathroom slamming the door. That night Anaka cried on the couch until morning.

She couldn’t even go inside the room because Tundai locked the room preventing her from coming inside. She wanted to tell Tundi what actually happened. But Tundi is not even giving her audience to talk. And just like that, a week passed and the two of them barely spoke to each other in the same house.

So they will wake up early, leave for work and come back very late. And Maka stopped eating totally. It was as if she was getting more sick by the day. Then one morning, as Tundi dressed up for work, he was looking for a clean handkerchief in the wardrobe when his hand touched a sealed envelope. The name that flashed in front of it was Mrs.

Amaka Tundi. Confidential. Confidential? Tundi asked himself. He wanted to drop it back because he was still angry with Amaka. But something inside of him pushed him to open it. When he finally did, it was a medical report with a hospital logo. Diagnosis stage three kidney failure. Patient required close monitoring and possible transparent evaluation.

Tindy cleaned his eyes again and read it again and again and again until he could no longer. He sat on the bed breathing so fast. His mind started running around. Everything began to make sense. The weakness, Amaka looking different, the hospital visits and the man who halked her was actually trying to sympathize with her.

The doctor wasn’t her lover, but the doctor that was treating her. Chundday dropped the paper and rushed out of the room. He was screaming at Maka’s name, but Amaka could not even talk. She was so weak to talk. Not until he went to the veranda and saw her sitting down receiving fresh air. Amaka. Yes, babe.

Why didn’t you tell me? Tears started streaming down Amaka’s face. I don’t want to stop your joy. You’ve worked so hard. You got promoted. I don’t want to make you worry. I was even glad you were suspecting me of cheating. Maybe because of that you will look outside, find a woman that can give you children because I can’t and this has been the reason why I cannot give you children. Have kidney issue.

M are you crazy? So you carry this thing all alone all this while. Come on. You gave us 5 years. I just wanted us to carry the pain quietly for once. I don’t want you to worry and I want you to make your mother proud. I’ve never seen a man as selfless as you. I’ve never seen a man who stood on his ground and said you are the one and you still maintain that word for five whole years.

A man who never laid his hand on me. A man who provided for me desperate knowing that I work hard myself. He never asked me to spend a dime in the house. A man who looks after my own family like his own. Today I am grateful to be in your life. But right now I think I should do this alone. Carry this battle alone. You’re free to move on with your life.

I swear you don’t need to be bothered by me. You don’t need to carry my burden on your shoulder. Seriously, I know what your mother will say this time. Ah, Euroba, she don’t carry juju on top of your head. This one now jazz run. No, please. Please don’t. Tai just hugged her. Huged her for a long time.

That moment, Tund realized that love was not tested by laughter but by pain. He wiped his tears and wiped Amaka’s tears. From now onwards, we’re going to fix everything together. Amaka, no more secrets. Stop being quiet. And don’t you ever tell me that this burden is your burden alone. We are married. But I love you for crying out loud.

Why would you think that even in sickness I would leave you? I shouldn’t have let what my friend told me to enter my head. I knew that you couldn’t even do it. But your whole confusion now I know this word they say that things doesn’t actually look the way it seems. It’s actually good for someone to find clarification instead of assuming. Imagine I waited for a while.

I might have even known that you are suffering like this. Eh, I just saw one thing like this. I ran off like a woman. See k if I get you I’ll give you a very big blow. He nearly ruined my marriage out of stupidity thinking. After Tundday reconcileed with Amaka, he cared for her like no other.

He never allowed Amaka to touch anything in the house. The only thing she does is to eat, take her medicine and take care of herself. He started making preparation on how he will get a donor for his wife. Then he received an emergency call at work and Tundi left one fateful morning. He was at work when he received a call that Amaka was rushed to emergency.

Tundi rushed out of his office and drove like a madman to the hospital. His heart was beating fast. His eyes were full of tears. He didn’t even care. He just wanted to see his wife. As he got to the hospital, he ran straight to the reception. My wife, please. Where is she? Which room? Calm down sir.

She was brought in here few uh minutes ago. Room 204. The doctors are already attending to him sir. Calm down. Tundi rushed towards the room and saw his wife lying on the bed pale and weak. He began to cry. Immediately he entered the room. Come on. Please don’t scare me like this again. Do not ever scare me like this. Come on. Who do you want to leave this world for? Oh, I want to be a w by this age. Come on.

I only went out to go and arrange the money for the surgery and in case if they see any transplants, anybody that wants to give us a kidney and the money is ready. The money is ready. What What are the doctor talking about? What happened? Why were you rushed here? You were doing well at home before I left. What? What happened? Just then a doctor walked in. Mr. Tundday, I am sorry.

I know the situation is not right, but your wife had an episode and she was rushed to this place. The thing is that we need to give her the kidney as soon as possible. If not, I don’t know if the next episode she might survive it. Please can you try ask any of the family members anyone that is willing to give your wife kidney anyone sister cousin anyone just please find because as we are we don’t even have a donor I was okay let’s let’s go and look for a donor or a donor is available we don’t have I am so sorry we don’t I’ve already put

her on the list but there are a lot of people waiting for kidney. That is why we urge our patients to always look for solution. Look for a family member. Look for someone that can be able to help you donate for you you know. Okay doctor we’ll make inquiries about that and I will give you feedback but the money is ready in case if there is any donor please just let me know. No problem.

As the doctor left and Maka then said to Tundi, “Babe, listen, this is a trying period. This is the reason why I never told you when I found out. I I had this. But if I don’t make it, don’t stop leaving. God has plans for you. You can get married, give birth to a lot of children, just be happy.

” And Maka, don’t you ever say that you will make it. You will leave. Two of us will dance together again. You’re going to give birth to that our beautiful children that you have always wanted. Please don’t don’t you ever say that you are the one that will give birth to our children. You are the one that will carry them full time. If we are going to adopt, you will be the mother.

Maka, you’re not going anywhere. I’ll make inquiries. I’ll call your parents, your sisters, anyone that is willing to donate. I’ll give them the money. Just keep holding on for me. Do not leave me. I beg you. Tindy went outside and made calls, lots of calls, calling everyone he knows. But it was futile because nobody nobody wanted to give their kidney to Amaka.

Not even her sister. It was her parents that agreed but they were too old to give out kidney. They cannot even survive it if they try it according to the doctor’s report. But Amaka siblings none of them agreed to give her kidney. seeing that time was going, he doesn’t know what to do. He then went to the doctor and said to him, “Test me, check mine, check and see if I’m compatible.

I’m willing to give my wife a kidney.” The doctor was shocked. What? Sir, come on. You don’t know even if you’re a match. Test me. That is why I’m saying test me. Are you sure? Yes, I am sure can give me her kidney if I’m in this situation. I am willing to do so. If I’m comfortable, as far as I’m comfortable, just go ahead with the surgery.

The doctors ran some tests and hours later, the doctor called in to the sir, you’re a perfect match. Are you serious? What are we waiting for? Get down. Get down with the business then. Well, if you insist, I would like to explain the risk for you. I know you love your wife and you’re willing to do anything for her.

But I just want to let you know that this is 50/50 between you and her. Anything can go wrong. But Tund did not mind. He had already made up his mind. I will try. At least I will try. Tundi didn’t even tell his parents or any of his family members that he wanted to donate any kidney for her. It was only Amaka’s parents that knew all about it and they were the one that stood and signed and gave their consent that everything will go on well.

And that evening the surgery was done. Hours of hours of hours went by and Amaka’s parents they could not sit down one place. The mother was so restless. She kept on walking praying. She prayed from the time the doctors entered the theater. She prayed till the doctors came out of the theater and they told them the good news.

The woman was so happy. So does Amaka’s father. By the time Amaka opened her eyes, it was her mother she was seeing. Mama, where is Chundday? Tund was the first person she asked of. Tundday is fine. Okay, he’s resting. The surgery went well. He gave you his kidney. Tund did what? Oh god, again? Mama, why would you guys allow him to do such a thing? That is why he didn’t tell you.

He told the doctor not to tell you that he was the one donating. Amaka was left speechless, but she was so grateful to God that the surgery went well and her and her husband they came out alive. They were at the hospital until they were fit to be discharged. When they got home, Amaka and Tundi looked at each other and started laughing with tears on their eyes. You you you gave me your kidney.

Come on now, babe. It’s just a spare part. The two of them started laughing. A spare part indeed. Amaka said to but why would you do that? Because I can’t live in a world that I can’t have you. You, you don’t want any other amaka if not you. You are the only amaka I want in my life. Only you. You are a foolish man.

What if I did not make it? God forbid. Do you know the seed I swed in the in the church? Do you know the seed I went and sw outside? Come on, you must make it. Two of us will come out of it alive. And we did. God heard our prayers. All we need is to recover fully well and pick up our life where we stopped. Okay.

My mother does not really need to know that I gave you anything. I didn’t tell her but I know that the news will surely enter her ears one way or the other and she will come and create sin here but don’t mind her she’s just full of noise but she doesn’t have power to fight the two of them continued making jokes and laughing 6 months later Amaka and Tundi recovered very well went back to the clinic as a nurse and today went back to his business and his office work.

He juggled the two together just to put food on the table. Then one year later, one fateful morning, Amaka fainted on the couch and Tundday started panicking. Not again now. Eh, if you are joking, you better stop it. Will you wake up? What happened this time around? Tund was really scared.

Only Faraka to open one of her eyes and started laughing. See you, you are scared, Abby. Why are you pulling this kind of prank? Now I’m not pulling a prank. I have a surprise for you. She didn’t serve him food. When Tundi opened the plate, it was a test strip, a pregnancy test trip that said they expecting a baby.

Tundi was the happiest man on earth. He halked her, kissed her, cuddle her. In fact, there was nothing he could not do that day that he didn’t do. He started warning her already. See this why you’re telling me e I want to enter if you ever if I see you in that kitchen again lie no more cooking in this house.

We’re going to prioritize our health. We’ll go for walks. We’ll come back. I’m going to hire more chef. Amanda was the one that now calmed him down. Calm down. I know you you’re going to spoil me silly. I know. But thank God that God blessed us finally. And 9 months later, Amaka put to bed two twins, a boy and a girl.

On top of that, they called the pastor to their house because they want to renew their vows. The twins, they came on their wedding anniversary. So they decided to use that opportunity to renew their vows and also give thanks to God. Finally, after Amaka gave birth to that twins, Tundai’s mother could not even talk anymore.

She had to come and beg for forgiveness. After all, you don’t have a choice than to accept the person that your only son chose as a wife. Amaka forgave her. They halked it out. But Tund still warned her, “Be careful of my mother.” Me, I don’t trust that woman. No. No matter what you saw in a certain way, just make sure that you hear or get clarity of what you saw.

Do not assume because assumption have killed a lot of marriages. Assumption have destroyed a lot of families. Be sure of what you saw. Make sure that what you saw is truly what you are thinking. Not you seeing one part of the story and you are assuming at the end of the day what you saw is not actually what happened. And note this not every secret is betrayal.

Some are silent act of love. Sometimes love is not loud though it heighten the quiet choices we make for those we care about. Not every man will be like Tundi who stood by his wife all throughout. But regardless, we all can do better. I hope you learned one or two from this story.
