He BROUGHT a New wife To Embarrass His Mother, what happened next shocked..#story #folklore #tales – Ty

To my beautiful family, Mona besties, I’ve missed you all low. I’ve missed you all so much and I know it has been a while you heard from me. So many people have been asking, “Where is Mona? Hope she’s all right. Where has she been all this while?” Well, my besties, life has a way of taking us through seasons we never planned for.

These past few months has been a time of serious trial, deep personal reflection. A lot of things went wrong, but I still hope and pray for something bigger and better. I want you to know that every single one of you kept me going. Knowing that this community exists and that you guys has been waiting for me to come back.

I am back now by God’s grace and I’m going to be bringing you guys more deeper, beautiful, intriguing African stories than ever before. Thank you for not giving up on this channel, low. Thank you for staying, low. And this is our new beginning. And also, still put me in your prayers. Thank you.

Now, let me tell you this beautiful story I have for you guys today. Many years ago or not so many years ago in a small town in Ekiti State, a proud family did a very terrible thing. Not with shouting, not with fighting. They did it with their mouths, with long looks across the dinner table. They did it to one quiet woman named Rachel.

Rachel did not come from money. She didn’t come from a very rich home. She had no university degree. She did not wear designers or drive an expensive car. She only sold akara, beans cake, by the roadside near the motor park. The family that received her, they were the Adeyemis, a very proud family, so loud, so convinced of their greatness.

They were the kind of family that never forgot who they were, and they never let anyone else forget, either. The Adeyemi family had three sons. Tunde, the first son, a medical doctor in Lagos, polished, and when Tunde decided to get married, his wedding looked like a coronation. It was a merger between two powerful families.

Mrs. Adeyemi smiled all throughout the wedding, showing off herself as the mother to the groom. Then, Segun was the second son. He was an engineer, quiet, steady. He married a woman from Osun state, who spoke Yoruba so correctly that the elders nodded with respect. She also came from a very rich home. Immediately their mother found out that their wives always come from a rich home, her attitude towards them would change.

She would pamper them and love them so much. In fact, she was the one that gave permission for them to marry the wives. She had to go and make her own private investigation about the family, about the young girl. They must come from money. If they don’t come from money, never will you marry in the Adeyemis family. Then, the third son, Dayo.

Dayo now turns out to be a very different person. He had a different personality. Dayo had always given his mother headaches. Not because he was a bad boy or a stubborn boy, but because Dayo had always thought for himself. He doesn’t allow his mother’s influence to affect him. And in the Adeyemi family, thinking for yourself was treated like a sin.

Because Mrs. Adeyemi would eventually tell you even what to wear. From childhood, she had always controlled everything, and Dayo hated that. He had watched his mother rank women at the Christmas table. He had watched her dismiss his last girlfriend just because she’s a nurse. Not that being a nurse is a problem. The only reason was that Mrs.

Adeyemi preferred a doctor to a nurse. And that broke something inside Dayo. He hated how the mother’s lifestyle, how she treated people poorly, how she was the one that made life choices for everyone in the house. You don’t have a say. As far as Mrs. Adeyemi said no, no is no in the family, and you will never go against that.

If you do, you have already landed yourself in trouble. That was how controlling Mrs. Adeyemi was. But when she called off the relationship between Dayo and his previous girlfriend, that broke something inside Dayo, and he swore that he would never let his mother control his life again. And he swore that he’s going to shock her in a way that even she will not even see it coming.

Dayo then made a plan. He sat inside his room for days and craft out a beautiful plan on how to shock the mother. He then waited till December period. During the holidays, when the whole family gathered. Including his brothers and their wives. They all came back home. The family gathered for Christmas as usual.

Women in the kitchen cooking, men arguing about football, children running around everywhere. Suddenly, Dayo walked into the gate. He was carrying two bags. Beside him was a lady nobody in the family had seen before. She wore a simple yellow blouse. No wig, no fancy stuff. She was carrying a bag of chicken and chin chin. She smiled at everyone she passed.

Immediately, the two of them stepped inside. The compound went quiet immediately. The way compounds only go quiet when something big has entered. Dayo stood in the middle of the yard and shouted, “Everybody, oh, this is Rachel. She is from this town. And I am Dayo. I am going to marry her.” You could hear a pin drop.

Mrs. Adeyemi looked at Rachel from half shoe to the trouser and to the top. From down to up. Her face said everything her mouth had not said yet. Then from the kitchen, Tunde’s wife looked at Chegu’s wife. Chegu’s wife looked at Tunde’s wife. Nobody needed words. They were all thinking the same thing. Mrs.

Adeyemi smiled, but it was not her proud smile. It was the other way around. The one that says, “This boy is like is running not savvy. What the name of embarrassment is this?” But she didn’t speak it out loud. Meanwhile, Rachel had also noticed the smell. She noticed her movement. She noticed everything that was going on around her.

She still maintained her steez. She was still smiling regardless of the odd looks from people. Well, before we continue this story, let me tell you how Dayo met Rachel. It took him some days to craft out a plan and after that he went out one fateful morning. He wanted to go and pick up a waybill from the motor park.

That was how he saw Rachel frying her akara and smiling at customers. Immediately, Dayo knew that Rachel was the woman that would give him what he wanted. So, Dayo approached Rachel. At first, Rachel did not give him any sort of audience because she was busy and money is more important than any fine boy that comes to come and talk.

Dayo was patient. He waited for Rachel to finish selling for the day before he opened up and tell her what he had in mind. Rachel was really confused. “Are you telling me that you want me to fake being your girlfriend?” Rachel asked Dayo. And Dayo replied, “Yes, and I’ll pay you handsomely. Let me tell you the truth.

After you receive the money, I’ll pay you. I don’t think you will come back here to come and fry akara again. So far, so far, no good day your head again. See, I will change your life. All you need to do is to follow my instructions. Get yourself a lawyer. We are going to draft out a contract where you are going to sign and I am going to sign.

Since my mother said I will never drink one cup of water in the house, she will never rest.” Rachel looked at him for a while. Hmm. ; ; This is a very risky job, oh. If you are from a wealthy family, your mother can go to any extra length to destroy me and my own family. So, what if that happens? What guarantee are you giving me? Dayo promised her that nothing would happen.

Her mother might be a talkative, someone that like controlling, but she won’t go that way. She won’t go that far. Dayo promised Rachel and also told her that he’s going to back all the safety of the family members in the contract. Rachel now told Dayo to give her time to think about it and get back to him. Dayo smiled, exchanged contacts, and left that day happy.

Meanwhile, Rachel had grown up three streets away from Adeyin Miss compound. Her father was a teacher, a very good man, but unfortunately, he died when Rachel was only 16. He died of malaria. That became something worse because hospital was too far and they had no money. After the man died, everything fell on Rachel because Rachel had already lost her mom when she was quite younger.

Now, her father had died, too. Everything now fell on her. She also has a younger brother whom she had to look after. Now that the parents are dead, Rachel finished secondary school. She did very well, exceeding very well. She was a very brilliant young lady. But, there was no money for university. She applied for polytechnic twice.

First time, the money came home, then her brother had an accident. Hospital fee took everything. She tried second time, the money also came again. But, another temptation, the roof of their house collapsed in the rain, and the money had to go to rebuilding the roof. So, Rachel had to start thinking of how to start a business instead of going back to school.

So, she started selling the akara. Not with shame, oh, but with strategy. She still had it in mind that she want to go back to school someday. She would wake up as early as 4:00 every morning to go and pick up her beans, soak it, wash it, and go and blend it, and get ready for her business before everyone else wakes up.

During afternoon, when she was done selling her morning badge, she would calm down, sit down beside her small shop, and start reading books. After that, she would write down every sale she made. On top of that, she was also thinking of another business to start so as to support her younger brother in school, even though the akara business was bringing money.

But, you want to not put their fruits in one basket. So, she made sure she read books about businesses and how to expand. She was still thinking of how to start up another business when Dayo came with that contract and that proposal to pay her a huge amount of money to pretend to be his girlfriend, and they would get married legally.

After Dayo came and told her everything, Rachel decided to consult her best friend, her hustling friend, too, named Gift. She had to go to Gift’s house to go and discuss this matter. It was so serious. When Gift saw her, she was surprised. This why you came to my house, you that don’t not leave your business area.

This discussion must be very important. So, what happened, girl? Tell me, what’s up? Rachel had to calm down and tell her everything that Dayo told her. Gift was so happy. Finally, the Lord has done it. Finally. See, girl, I will not lie to you, Gift said to Rachel. This is blessing in disguise. I know you. You don’t go learn nonsense now.

You don’t let anybody intimidate you. See, I love this kind of contract. I thought it was even something very dangerous. Thank God it is legal. Girl, take it now. But, has the young man told you how much he’ll be paying you? Rachel replied, “No. He hasn’t. He said he’s going to draft out the contract.

I should come up with my own lawyer. Then we’ll meet up somewhere to sign it. I’m just confused. I need money, money badly. The akara business is helping, but it’s not enough for me and my younger brother.” Yes. Now you are talking. So, since the money you are getting is not enough, this is a very big opportunity for you to blow up.

Girl, you have skills in cooking. Forget about the akara you’re frying. You know how I always compliment your food. You can go big. All you have to do is to collect the money. I am behind you. Well, I know a lawyer, so I will give you the man’s number. Go through with it. To me, this is harmless and the best thing that can ever happen to you right now.

Rachel thanked Gift and left that day. Two days later, Rachel called Dayo and told him that she’s interested. And that was how they met up, signed the contract with the two lawyers involved, even Gift came that day as an eyewitness in case if anybody tries anything stupid. After the agreement was signed, Dayo calmly told Rachel what he wants her to do, especially to his mother.

Rachel agreed. And on that fateful day, during the Christmas holiday, that Christmas introduction went exactly as badly as you’re imagining it. ; [snorts] ; Yes, Mrs. Adeyemi immediately stood up and took Dayo aside. Dayo, are you okay? Where exactly did you find this one from? They got us. You could not even package her a little bit.

Why is she dressed like that? Mama, Dayo called his mother. Calm down, okay? I brought you a nurse, someone doing well for herself. You said no. Dayo won’t prefer a doctor. Since I cannot see a doctor, Rachel here is the one I fell in love with, and she’s going to be my wife, whether you like it or not. Does she have any degree? Mrs.

Adeyemi asked Dayo. What is she bringing to this house? Well, Mama, the only thing is that she’s hardworking, she’s very intelligent. She ; ; She sells akara by the road road side. Dayo! Mrs. Adeyemi shouted. I knew you are the one that will bring disgrace to this house. Your brothers married women with education, influence.

Have you seen your brother’s wife’s family? People respect their family, and people respect the Adeyemi’s family, too. If you bring an akara seller as your wife, what do you think everybody would see? Please take this girl and get out of my compound immediately. Do not let me embarrass her and do not let me take my anger out on you, Dayo.

Don’t test my patience. But Dayo did not answer. He walked back outside without replying. He wanted to shake his mother and he had already succeeded in shaking her, including the whole family. Dayo immediately took Rachel inside and take her to his own room. That was where Rachel started to stay. The mother was fuming with anger.

She called her husband. She called the uncles. She called everybody that Dayo respected and was complaining bitterly of what Dayo was doing. Because of this, they called a family meeting on Dayo. That evening, the father and two of the father’s brothers came together with Mrs. Adeyemi.

All of them were seated at the sitting room and they were having a discussion. They warned Dayo to take the girl back to wherever he picked her up from. If not, they would disown him. The rich does not marry the poor. The poor marry the poor while the rich marry the rich. How can you go and bring up someone you barely know and say you want to marry her? Regardless of all the threats, the shouting on top of their voices, Dayo stood his ground and told everyone that cares to listen in that sitting room that his choice is final. No one should

[snorts] choose a wife for him. He’s man enough and he has chosen his wife. And nothing on this earth will make him go back to his words. And if they try to do anything stupid, that is when they will lose a son. After all, they have two sons already, so losing him will be nothing. Deyo angrily walked out of that meeting.

The father now faced the mother. Woman, there is nothing I can do. Deyo had always been a very stubborn boy. He had always been a boy that has his own mind. Let him do whatever he wants to do. He is the backbone of my company. That my company is moving forward, it is Deyo. I don’t want to lose him, oh. I beg you.

You will have to endure. If the young lady is well-mannered and can express herself, all you have to do is to upgrade her. Go shopping, you know, train her, do something. But please, I am not losing my son. Despite Mrs. Adeyemi’s stubbornness, she couldn’t match up to her own son’s stubbornness. So, she had no option than to agree that Deyo would marry Rachel.

And they did 6 months later. ; [snorts] ; After the marriage, Rachel moved into the family house. Even though Deyo can be able to afford a very good apartment or his own house, yet Mrs. Adeyemi refused Deyo from moving out of the house. She wanted to show power. Her main goal was to frustrate Rachel. She never accepted the marriage and she swore that the marriage will not even last.

As Rachel moved in, every day was a test. She would make food, she would condemn it. She would clean the house, she would ask her to do it again. She kept on frustrating Rachel to the point of raising a hand on her one faithful day. But Rachel warned her never to try it again. If not, there will be war in the house.

When Deyo came back that day, Rachel told Deyo what the mother did. Deyo angrily zoomed off and went straight to to mother. Why would you slap my wife? Has he gotten to that? You will push me out of this house. If you ever lay your hand on my wife again, I would leave this house and I will never come back.” The mother started a cheap blackmail.

“Oh, instead of you to ask me what happened and you are here siding with a woman that you barely know.” “She was the one that attacked me first and I had to defend myself. Have you seen that girl talk to me? She’s so rude and very disrespectful.” Mrs. Adedoyin lied all kind of lie on top of Rachel’s head, but Dayo did not believe her because even though he does not know Rachel very well, the little he knows, Rachel is a very peaceful girl and wouldn’t cross her boundaries based on the contract they had together.

To avoid more frustration, Rachel decided to start leaving the house. One fateful day, she dressed up and left the house. She went and visited her friend Gift and told her everything that has been happening in the house. Gift already knew that there will be war and told Dayo to endure, but not be idle.

What is she going to do about her business? But Rachel told Gift that the family restricted her from selling akara anymore and she doesn’t know what else business that she can venture into with the money that Dayo paid her. And their contract will only expire in a year and 6 months. She needs to start something so that by the time the contract she will come out frustrated or still looking for what to do.

Just then, an idea popped up. Gift told her what she can be able to do. “Girl, why don’t you start packaging your food? Well, we can do combined business if you want because this my small shawarma business that I’m managing, I used to deliver to offices sometimes. And one day, I went to an office that they ordered my shawarma, and I saw someone delivering hot pap and akara as breakfast to the office. You can consider that, too.

All you have to do is to create a flyer and tell them that you offer services like food, different food, lunch, breakfast. You know, just think about it. Me, I don’t know how to go about it, though, but I’m giving you the idea. We can start from there. I can be your delivery girl. You can also add my shawarma to it, too.

So that I, too, I will not be at loss. If your business is moving, I am also moving. Everywhere goes too. You can Google about it. You can ask questions. You can start something from home. Rachel was so happy. I never thought about this, though. And this is a very good idea. It will keep me busy and stop seeing that frustrated woman every day. Thank you, Gift.

You are so rare. And that was how business kicked in. Rachel made inquiries, paid for online courses, and after that, she came up with a business plan. With the help of Gift, they distributed flyers, and few companies called in. That was how business started, and Rachel became very busy. I started ignoring Mrs.

Adeyemi, which she hated so much. Anytime she meets her at home, Rachel was never at home. She’s always with Gift. She cooks in Gift’s house, and from there, they distribute. Immediately Dayo is leaving for office, Rachel is already dressing up to leave, too. Just to avoid her mother-in-law’s problem. Dayo, then one faithful day, approved breakfast and lunch for the office, their own office.

And to his greatest surprise, the person that delivered the to his office was his own wife and that was what changed everything. Dayo was standing looking at her even though he was talking to a client, he could not stop staring. Rachel have changed the way she dresses, everything about her was screaming luxury.

She has now started making money out of her business and she was looking the part. That day, Dayo was speechless. When he got back home, he called her by the side. Why didn’t you tell me that you started a food business? I would have approved it. I would have funded it. Must you do it behind my back? I’ve been asking you what you do, where you go because my mother has been complaining that she barely sees you at home.

Well, I don’t think you would buy the idea and whereas we are on a contract, the contract stated that anything about my personal life is not your business as far as it do not affect your image. And as for your mother, she’s a thorn on my flesh. She has been disturbing me. This is the only way I could distract myself and avoid trouble leaving the house.

Ever since I’ve been leaving the house, she has not seen who to quarrel with or who to put blames or who to accuse. Please, I’ve had peace of mind. The only thing I’m waiting for is the contract to end in two months time and I’ll pack my things and leave. Dayo turned sharply. What do you mean by pack your things and leave? You know you cannot leave yet.

No now. Rachel, we’ve been together for a year and four months. We slept on the same bed. We share practically everything and you just want to leave like that? Rachel was standing confused. I don’t understand Dayo. This was purely business. You said no emotions attached. So why are you sounding as if you’re falling in love already? Dayo started to stammer. Calm down.

It It’s not like that. I I’m just saying I’ve grown fond of you and you can’t just leave like that. Please, don’t go yet. We can make plans for other things, but you can’t leave. But Richard refused. See, I don’t know what else you’re talking about though. Once my contract ends, I am leaving. About every other thing you’re talking about, me I don’t know. I am leaving.

And I’m leaving means I am leaving. You said you wanted to teach your mother a little bit lesson that you can make your choices and stand by it. You’ve proved that point now. Your mother did not win. I know she received a little bit insult from her friends, the Belonia club women that laughed at her when you got married to me, but you prove your point now.

What else do you want to prove? The time I leave this house, your mother will smile again and she will get you that rich girl from a rich family. I beg. Do you know that I’ve been sitting in this house with my one leg and half of my bum bum? I beg. I cannot deal with such mother.

As Richard refused to listen to Dayo and walked out of the room, Dayo decided to do something that will make Richard to stay and will make the mother to give her a very big respect. After Richard left the room, Dayo’s elder brother, Tunde, walked in. Bro, huh. So, you have to go this far just to put our mother in her rightful position. Wow, I do wake up for you.

I’ve always known you to be the most stubborn. But I don’t know you have audacity like this. Anyways, I love your audacity. At least now, you can prove to our mother that she can’t control our lives forever. Even though she chose my wife, which I’m I’m regretting to today because that woman, I am seeing Shagui at home.

But who am I to complain? And I can see that you’re already falling in love with this girl. I have a very good plan that will make her be on top and you will keep her forever. When you became interested immediately, a plan? Tell me now, big bro. That was when Tunde told Dayo about the summit that was coming up.

The annual development summit that he should make sure that Rachel is the one that do the catering services. Tunde told Dayo to give Rachel the contract. And also, there are other contracts, government contracts, she can be able to handle when it comes to food. That will give her an edge and also some respect. Finally, my brother, confess your love to her so that you will not lose her.

She’s actually a very good woman. I’ve seen the way she cared for you despite you guys being on contract and the way she works really hard. If I were you, I will not miss this one, oh. She’s gold. Please, not that arrogant thing I kept at home. If I were you, my brother, do not let this woman go regardless of my mother’s scheming.

She has been scheming up till now on how to take her out of the way. Please, listen to me. Dayo was grateful. He thanked his brother, hugged him on top, and he started making preparation to give Rachel the contract. Unfortunately, Rachel got three contracts, two government contracts, and the contract to be the caterer for that annual development summit.

When she got it, she was so happy. She told Gift. The two of them celebrated. Immediately she got home, she told Dayo and Dayo was so happy for her. He pretended he didn’t know anything about the contract. Then, on the day of that annual development summit, Mrs. Adeyemi and the whole family came. She came because they always have been attending that kind of event, and they were well known.

Immediately the program began, the chairman introduced the keynote speaker. He described her as a lady who started with nothing, a woman who built a catering business with contract from three state government, a woman who came from nothing and became somebody. Then, the speaker introduced her. Ladies and gentlemen, Mrs. Rachel Adeyemi.

Dayo was so proud. He was busy looking at the mother who was completely shocked, together with the father and the whole family that came for the event. Everybody was shocked, and they were speechless. Rachel stood up, grabbed the microphone, and introduced herself. Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Rachel Adeyemi.

Some of you only knew me as the akara woman who sold akara at the motor park. But today, my story has changed. Rachel spoke for 20 minutes, and Mrs. Adeyemi could not laugh. She was still in denial. After the event, they all went home to the family house. Immediately, Mrs. Adeyemi could not even allow Rachel to step foot inside.

She started screaming down the whole house. How dare you disgrace us in that event? You catered for the event? How? You were just a roadside akara seller. How did you own such a big catering business, and nobody knew about it? Not even me. Why would you disgrace us like that? But Daniel came to his wife’s rescue. Mama, don’t yell or shout at my wife.

Don’t try that, okay? She’s tired. She has been up and running since yesterday. Well, good you do not know because I know how far you can go to destroy someone. It’s just because you were not really paying full attention to know that the person you are looking down on has been building a multi-millionaire business.

Now, you can leave my wife alone. I’ve already gotten a house for us and we’re moving out this weekend. I’ve informed papa. At least I was able to talk to him and not to you because I know you would never agree. I just want to tell you that you can get married to someone below your class and still be happy.

You can upgrade the person’s lifestyle if you truly love the person. You don’t need to look down on everyone. Daniel is mother, seriously, to stay off Rachel’s back. He grabbed Rachel’s hand. He didn’t even allow her to talk and enter the room. Rachel was so surprised. She didn’t ask Daniel, Your whole family was surprised when you weren’t.

With the way you spoke to your mother, it seems that you’ve known about the contracts. Yes. I’ve known about the contracts, Daniel replied. Because I was the one that made sure you got them. Rachel was speechless. Yes, Daniel continued. Don’t leave me. I’ve fallen in love with who you are, your personality, and right now is not the time to leave me, please.

We can renew our contract. Remember that our marriage was real. Legally, we’re married. Traditionally, we’re married. And if you walk away, we have to go through divorce, go through you paying the bride price. Please, I don’t want that, please. I want to build with you. You’re calm. ; ; You’re everything I want in a woman.

I didn’t say that first, but I’m saying it now. Rachel paused for a while. Because she had always felt something for him. But she had to hide her feelings so that it would not come in the way because of the contract. They both had a very passionate kiss. And Rachel promised to stand by him.

And she isn’t going anywhere. And that was how they moved out by the weekend to their own house. To start their life afresh and start up their family together. Daniel’s mother couldn’t do anything. Now, Rachel is powerful. She has money. And there is nothing she can do anymore. She had to swallow her ego and go and apologize to Rachel.

So as to be in good condition and a healthy relationship with her daughter-in-law. This is the lesson from Rachel’s story. And please, hear it carefully. There are people in your life right now that you have already decided. Maybe because of the way they dress, because of where they come from, or the kind of job they do currently.

You’ve made up your mind that, “Oh, these people are not on my level. They have nothing to offer. And they do not belong.” Listen. Respect that person in front of you now when there is still time.
