From Cleaner to Co-Owner | JIME Original – Ty

You want a mess here. Oh my god. Clean that up. What is wrong with you? What are you standing there looking at? Can’t you see this office is dirty again? Or have your eyes suddenly stopped working this morning?  Then one morning you looked at me  >> as though I had always belong.

>> Who are you? >> Ah, good morning, sir. I did not know anyone would come this early. >> I’ve never seen your face before. When did they employ you? Last month, sir, I was brought in by the cleaning agency. >> H What’s your name? >> Helen, sir. >> Helen. And you always resume this early? >> Yes, sir.

If I don’t come early, all of you will meet the office dirty when you arrive. So, I like to finish before anybody comes. >> That’s very disciplined of you. Most people your age are still sleeping at this time. Tell me, what were you studying before this cleaning job? >> Why do you ask, sir? >> Because you sound smart and you are also disciplined.

>> I studied economics. >> So, how come you are working here as a cleaner? It’s a long story, sir. Let’s just say life happened. We don’t always get what we want from life, but we just have to keep pushing regardless. >> All right, Helen. Let me allow you to continue with your work, then.  >> Good morning, sir.

You’re around very early today. >> The cleaner that was in my office this morning, Helen. From today, she cleans my office. Only her. No other cleaner should step foot in there again. >> Sir, but the roster. Fiko, only her. Is that clear? >> Yes, sir. Very clear. >> Huh? See the educated cleaner. Oo, Helen the economist.

Have you heard the gist? That was how she just walked into boss’s office as though it’s her father that built the company. No respect at all. >> I was only cleaning. That’s my job. >> Cleaning. >> Please, I don’t want any trouble. >> Trouble? See how she is forming a gentle girl. That small mistake will show your real color. You chew.

Oops. Clean that up quickly. Cleaner girl. >> Sister Helen, welcome. We have finished our homework already. >> Good boys. Have you eaten? >> We haven’t eaten since morning. Sister Helen. >> Okay, Peter, take this. Go buy bread and beans for the three of us. Make sure you collect change. Times are hard. >> Yes, ma’am.

[sighs]  without announcing. No fireworks, no grand parade, just kindness showing up again  and again.  >> Are you okay? I’m so sorry. I wasn’t watching. I wasn’t watching. Hey. Hey, talk to me. Is it your leg? Your hand? Are you hurt? >> The money. I lost my money. [gasps] What money? >> The money my sister gave me to buy bread and beans. It fell inside.

Now me and my brother and my sister will go hungry today. And my sister will not be happy with me. >> Sorry.  Stand up. Come enter my car. I’ll buy you everything you need. Don’t cry again. Come on.  Get in. So, where do you stay? Let me take you home after we get the food. >> Sir, please just drop me small distance from the house.

>> Why now? >> My sister, she doesn’t like us following strangers. If she sees me inside your car, she will be angry with me. >> Smart boy. Okay, no problem. >> >> pack extra for your brother and sister, too. >> Thank you, sir. God will bless you. >> Where’s the house? Over there, sir. All right.

I’ll come and check up on you tomorrow. Thank you, sir. Sister, I’m back. Peter, I can’t remember giving you plenty of money. So, where did you get money to buy all these foods? Don’t tell me you’ve started following bad bad friends. Oh, have you started stealing? Where did you get all this from? No, sister. I can never steal.

Oh, and I’m not following bad friends. Oh, it’s one rich uncle that almost hit me on the road. I lost the money you gave me in the process. I was crying because you won’t have anything to eat today. That was how you went to buy all this plenty food for me. >> The uncle is very nice. So, God bless him in Jesus name. You saw me standing in the shadows caring.

>> Helen, I want to talk to you about something real quick. >> Did I do something wrong, sir? >> No, no, relax. Tell me about you. Which school did you go to? >> I went to University of Lagos, sir. >> That’s good. What year did you graduate? >> I did not graduate, sir. I dropped out in 300 level because of money.

>> Oh, so sorry to hear that. What about your parents? Where are they, >> sir? It’s a long story. I don’t really like talking about it. >> Okay, no pressure. But whenever you’re ready, I’m here to listen. >> Sister, they said if I don’t bring my school fees tomorrow, I won’t write exams. >> Peter, listen to me carefully.

Don’t cry. Go to school tomorrow morning. Wear your uniform. Hold your hacks. Leave the classroom. Tell your teacher your sister is coming. >> But where will you get the money? >> Leave that one for me. Since the day mommy and daddy left us, has your sister ever disappointed you? >> No. >> Then trust me one more time.

God, I honestly don’t know where I’ll get the money. I wish I wouldn’t have to sell this watch. I really wish. But how do I do it if I don’t? How? >> Good afternoon, my daughter. You’re welcome. How may I help you today? >> It’s a good watch. They don’t make them like this anymore. Are you trying to repair it or do you want to sell it? >> I want to sell it, sir.

Forgive me for asking, but this doesn’t look like something you would normally sell.  It seems very special to you. >> It belonged to my father. He gave it to me on my birthday during my second year at the university.  He told me that whenever I looked at it, I should remember that time waits for nobody and that I should never stop chasing my dreams.

A few weeks later, he traveled with my mother for a business meeting. They never came back. >> I’m very sorry for your loss, my daughter. If this watch carries so many memories, are you sure you want to part with it? Sometimes memories are worth more than money. >> I know, sir, but my younger brother’s school fees must be paid before tomorrow morning.

If the money isn’t complete, they won’t allow him to write his examinations. He’s a brilliant boy. I can’t let his future suffer because I’m holding on to the past. Sir,  I think you’ve added too much. >> No, I haven’t. consider the extra money my own little contribution toward keeping that young boy in school.  >> Thank you very much, sir.

May God bless you for your kindness. >> Some children inherit wealth, others inherit responsibility. That young lady inherited both, but only one was left for her to carry. >> Sister Helen, we want to say thank you for paying our school fees. We know it’s not easy on you. Thank you for your hard work. We promise to make you proud.

>> Sister Helen, thank you so much for all you do for us. Since we lost dad and mom, you’ve taken up our responsibility. Thank you. God bless you. [snorts] >> Sir, the file you requested is ready. >> Thank you, Rose. Come and drop it on the table. >> Will that be all, sir, or do you need me to do something else? >> That will be all, Rose. You can go.

>> Wonder shall never end. Look at how I’ve been packaging myself for this man. Designer perfume, new hair every week, and he’s always professional with me. But this common cleaner, he’s just laughing with her as if they are mates. No problem. I will show her. Helen, come here. Go and get my coffee. Yes, ma.

>> Here’s your coffee. Ma, what is this? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME? >> What happened, Ma? What can you even do properly? Useless girl. Come on. Go and get mop and clean this floor now. >> Sir, you really came. >> Paul, this is the man that bought food for us yesterday. Sir, this is my younger brother, Paul.

Thank you so much for the food you bought for us yesterday. God bless you in Jesus name.  >> Amen. Hey champ, how are you? >> Fine sir. >> So where is your sister? I would love to meet her. >> She went to work sir. We are the only ones at home now. >> Okay, no problem then. >> Docas, I’ve been trying to make this man notice me for a very long time now.

I’m always packaging, doing everything, but it’s like he doesn’t even care. Now this cleaner just walt in and he’s giving her attention free of charge. Can you imagine that? Rosemary, listen to me. You cannot sit and watch one common cleaner snatch your man from you. Oh, you have to do whatever you need to do to get her out of the way.

Oh, abomination. I will never allow that. In fact, I’ve already started showing her pep today. I poured hot coffee on her. That’s my girl. I trust you to do the needful. >> Good afternoon, sir. I’m going to the restaurant nearby. You are still very busy. You don’t look like someone who will be going out for lunch.

Should I get you something? >> Yes, please get two separate plates. My usual. I’ll transfer the money to your account. >> Oh, no problem, sir. I’ll be right back. >> Doras, babe, God has finally started answering my prayers. My boss just asked me to get two plates of food for us. >> Uhhuh.

Wait, are you for real? Thank God. I’m so happy for you. >> Yes. So, finally, I will have the chance to sit and jest with my man over lunch. Casual casual. Nothing professional. Omo. I have waited so long for this moment. I’m so glad it’s finally happening. All right, babe. I’ll just g you how it goes later. Finally, I will be eating and gisting with my man today.

Ah, this man is too fine. I can’t wait for us to start something together. He will now propose. We will now get married, have kids. Ah, I want my son to look like him. He’s cute and handsome. >> Thank you, Rose. Just drop the food there. And please help me call Helen. >> Press her. >> The cleaner. Help me call her. >> Yes, sir. Thank you, Rosemary. You can go now.

Shut the door behind you. >> Sir, >> I said you can go. >> I thought this man was finally looking my way. So, it’s because of this cleaner girl that he asked me to buy a second plate. >> Wonder shall never end. The painful part is I didn’t even eat at the restaurant. I’m so hungry right now. >> Helen, I got extra food.

It’s for you, >> sir. You didn’t have to worry about me. I’m fine. >> Allow me to worry. You’ve been working since morning. You haven’t eaten. Please don’t reject it. Unless you want me to cut your salary. >> No, sir. Please don’t cut my pay. >> I’m only joking with you. Eat. [laughter] Are you seeing anyone? >> No.

Why did you ask, sir? >> Helen, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you these past few days. I’d like us to spend more time together outside work if you’re comfortable with that. >> Sir, you’re very funny, but I’m just a cleaner struggling to train myself and my two siblings.  I don’t think I’m what you’re looking for. >> It doesn’t matter to me.

You’re strong, intelligent, hardworking, and honestly, you’re the best company I’ve had in a long time. You know, to find genuine love is difficult, especially for someone who has money. A lot of ladies would want to be with you because of your money and status, but the connection will not be there. I feel different around you and I would love us to give our relationship a chance if you would allow it.

You don’t have to answer me now. You can take your time and think about it. No pressure at all. Have you people noticed something lately? Since when did the boss start asking only one cleaner to handle his office? Every single morning if Helen is not around, it’s like nobody else is allowed to enter. Forget that one. Did you not see what happened today? The boss asked Rosemary to buy two plates of food.

Next thing we heard, he sent Rosemary to go and call Helen. Tell me honestly, have you ever seen a CEO eating lunch with the cleaner before? >> Whether something is going on or not, I don’t know. But one thing is certain, people have started talking. If they continue spending this much time together, the whole company will soon hear about it.

All of you should lower your voices. This is somebody’s job you’re talking about. If the boss hears that you’re spreading rumors about him and that innocent girl, all of us know how that story will end. Ah, how did it go? Oh, yeah. Give me full gizz. Did he ask you out? When is your next date? Docas, can you imagine? The food was for him and that dirty stinking cleaner.

And that’s not even the worst part. After I brought it, he had the guts to send me to go and call her myself. Told me to shut the door and leave. Do you know how embarrassing that is? Me. Ah, this man get lio. I’m telling you, I felt so humiliated. I don’t suffer today, but I will show that girl who I really am. >> Sister, that uncle that bought food for us, he came to see us today.

He brought plenty provision and some other food stuffs for us. That uncle is very nice. >> Who is this uncle that you guys keep talking about? I need to see him. It’s very important. I know who the person is. >> He also wants to meet you, sister. He asked about you, but we told him you were at work. >> Mhm. Okay. I hope to meet him one day.

So, have you guys eaten? >> Yes, we ate part of the food that he bought for us. We kept some for you as well. >> Oh, that’s so nice of you. Oh, yeah. Go and bring my own food. I’m very hungry. Empty [music and singing] carrying dreams inside a bucket. I will frustrate this cleaner and make her life miserable.

You want to steal my man over my dead body. Helen, come and look at this office you cleaned. Is this how you do your job? If you can’t work again, maybe you should resign. Ma, but I already cleaned this office. Everywhere was spotless.  >> Are you mad? Are you saying I’m lying? Can’t you see the dirt with your own two eyes? Clean it again this minute or I will report you to HR  myself.

>> Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for making time for this meeting. I’d like us to discuss what I believe is the biggest investment opportunity we’ve seen in years. I want us to acquire for Jie Holdings. Toby, with all due respect, I don’t think this is a wise move. Fajui Holdings has been struggling for years now.

Every financial report I’ve seen tells the same story. Their depths keep increasing while their revenue keeps dropping. I honestly think we should stay away from that company. >> I have to agree with Chief Balagan. Their books are a complete mess. There are outstanding loans everywhere, abandoned projects, unpaid contractors, and multiple legal disputes.

If we buy them, we’re not just buying a company. >> Now, let’s talk about why they’re really collapsing. It isn’t because the company lacks value. It’s because the people running it don’t know what they’re doing. Poor financial decisions, no accountability, no long-term strategy. We’re not purchasing failure. We’re purchasing opportunity.

We’re buying valuable assets at distressed prices. You’ve clearly done your homework. I must admit, I didn’t look beyond the liabilities. I was too focused on everything that was going wrong. You have my support. >> Mine as well. >> Agreed. >> Excellent. Let’s move immediately before somebody else discovers what we’ve just discovered.

>> Ma, is there anything else you would like me to do before I leave? Ma, >> what are you standing there looking at? Can’t you see this office is dirty again? Or have your eyes suddenly stopped working this morning? Ma, you were the one who poured the water. I just finished cleaning everywhere. I don’t understand why you would do something like this.

So now you’re questioning me. Have you become so comfortable around this office that you think you can challenge me? Listen carefully, Helen. Whether I pour the water or rain enter through the roof is none of your business. Your job is to clean. So stop talking and do the work you’re paid to do. Let me advise you for your own good.

Whatever dream you’re dreaming concerning Mr. Toby, wake up from it now. Men like him don’t marry girls that push mops and empty dust bins for a living. Stay where you belong before you disgrace yourself. My have never disrespected you. I have never fought with you. I honestly don’t know why you hate me this much.

If I have offended you in any way without knowing it, I’m truly sorry. Save your apology. It won’t change anything. I don’t understand anymore. Every single day, I come here and do my work the best way I know how. I don’t insult anybody. I don’t look for trouble. I don’t compete with anyone. And yet it feels like my very existence offends some people.

Maybe this job isn’t worth it anymore. Maybe it’s time to leave with the little dignity I have left. >> You saw me before the world changed my story. You held my hand before success before tomorrow. >>  >> Fico, have you seen Helen? I wanted to discuss something with her before the end of the day.

>> That’s strange. She was cleaning this floor not too long ago. Let me check the other offices. >> Sir, we’ve checked everywhere. Nobody has seen her. Helen, I’ve been looking everywhere for you. You disappeared without saying anything to anybody. Is everything all right? >> Everything is fine.

Thank you for asking. >> Helen, something is wrong. I can see it on your face. Please talk to me. >> I’m resigning. >> Resigning? Why? >> Because I don’t think I have anything left to give this place anymore. Every morning I wake up believing today will be different. Every evening I go home wondering what I did wrong.

I have tried so hard to remain respectful. I have tried to ignore the insults. I have tried to be patient. But today, I realize something. Some people have already decided who I am because of the uniform I wear. No matter how hard I work, no matter how kind I am to them, I will always just be the cleaner. >> Helen, if someone has hurt you, don’t carry that burden alone.

You don’t have to tell me today if you’re not ready. But please don’t make such a life-changing decision because of one painful day. The world has already taken so much away from you. Don’t allow it to take away your dreams as well. >> Thank you, sir. I don’t know what I’ll do yet. Maybe I just need a little time to think.

>> Take all the time you need. Just promise me one thing. Whatever decision you finally make, make it because it’s what you truly want, not because someone else made you feel like you don’t belong. >> I promise.  the price. I never spoke. >> Good morning. I brought this for you, >> sir. Thank you.

Nobody has ever done this for me. >> That reminds me, I have been wanting to ask, would you like to go back to school, finish your degree? >> I would love that more than anything, but I can’t. I have two siblings depending on me. I can’t afford to go back and also take care of them. >> What if I put things in place, make sure your siblings are properly taken care of? Would you go back then? >> I would be so so glad, sir.

>> Then leave it to me. I’ll start making plans. And please stop addressing me with sir. I’m Toby. You can address me by my name. I believe we have moved past sir. >> Okay, sir. >> There you go again with the sir. [laughter] >> Oh my. >> Baba, please. I need this man to love me. Only me. I’ve tried everything.

Nothing is working. There’s a girl standing in my way. Hm. This kind love where you define a get price. [snorts] >> I’ll pay anything. >> Rub this for your face before you see him. The moment he set eyes on you, he go start to love you and he no go feet stop. But hear me well. No other man must set eyes on your face after you rub this cream.

The first person you see must be him. If not, nahala. Because the  first person to set his eyes on you will be the person that will fall in love with you. So if another man sees you  first, it means that’s the person that will love you. >> No problem, Baba. No problem at all. >> Good morning, ma.

Please, is the boss on seat now? Boss said he’s not coming today. He’s not feeling well. >> No, no, no, no. Is anything the matter? >> No, not at all. I don’t understand what is happening again. Oh, why is it today of all days that my boss will choose not to come to work? Why? And I have rubbed this cream on my face thinking I will meet him.

God, please help me. Oh, I have to hide from all my male colleagues today. I’ll just stay in my office throughout. I don’t want to marry who I’m not interested in. Ah, my boss escaped me today. Sha. Damn. >> Rosemary, why are you hiding at the corner like ghost? >> Right. Please go away. Don’t come near me. >> What’s wrong now? Rosemary, you are so beautiful.

I don’t think I’ve ever really seen you before now. >> Bright, stop this nonsense. >> I can’t stop loving you now. You are the CENTER OF MY WORLD. >> Oh my god. Oh my god. What have I done? Brite, stop. Just go away. Leave my office this minute. >> Why, my love? You are my world. I can’t do without you.

I love you to the moon and back. You are the sugar in my tea, the cockroach in my cupboard. >> Brite, leave my office or I will file a formal complaint against you for harassment. >> Okay, fine. and I will leave and come back after work. I love you, my beautiful lady. >> Hello, sir. Good morning, sir. >> Hello, Helen.

Please, can you come to my house? >> I’m feeling sick today and I don’t know why. Can you please come around?  I’ll tell AR I’m the one who sent for you. >> Oh, sorry about your health, sir. Let me quickly finish up with this office I’m cleaning. I’ll be there in 30 minutes. >>  >> You didn’t see a cleaner.

>> Sir, you’re burning up. Have you taken anything?  >> I was waiting for you. >> I made pepper soup for you. Please sit up. >> Thank you. >> Here you are. >> It smells  wonderful. >> My mom used to prepare this pepper soup for us those time when we were sick. No one had asked me that.  >> I can drop you.

>> Sir, you should be resting. >> I’m fine. I feel really better that your mother’s pepper soup recipe is very effective. It works like magic. It’s the real deal. [laughter] There’s no way I will allow you to go home by yourself this late, especially considering the insecurity in the country.

You know, this country is no longer safe. If anything happens to you, I will never be able to forgive myself. Wait, you live in this area? This is the same house I usually come to greet some boys. >> Sister Helen, you know this uncle? >> What? How do you two know him? He’s the one that’s been buying us food. >> You You knew this whole time.

You knew about my brothers and you said  nothing. >> I honestly had no idea they were your siblings. I was just helping them. >> Nobody Nobody has ever cared for us like this. Thank you. >> Baba, please remove it. That charm, it fell on the wrong person. Please help me undo it. >> My child, there is no cure for this one.

What is done is done. >> What do you mean no cure? You have to fix this. >> I warned you. You were not careful. Now that man will chase you till the day he dies. Better you start preparing your mind to marry him. >> No. No. This can’t be happening to me. No, please. [gasps] >> The Fajui holdings acquisition is finalized. Papers are signed.

Transfer complete. Good. Very good. [applause] You still haven’t told me about your parents. The last time I asked you, you said that you were not ready. Are you ready now? >> Yes, I’m ready. My parents were wealthy. Very wealthy. And they loved us, me and my brothers, more than anything in this world.

I was in 300 levels, studying economics when I got the call. Their plane crashed while on their way for a business trip. Both of them gone just like that. After the burial, my uncle and auntie took over everything. The house, the company, the accounts, all of it. They threw us out onto the street like we were nothing. Like we hadn’t just lost our parents.

My parents did not write any will. I guess they never imagined that they would be gone so soon, leaving us in such a wicked world. After my uncle and N took everything, we couldn’t fight back. We had no ground, no will, no lawyer. Since then, it’s been me, just me, fighting for my brothers. >> I’m so sorry, Helen.

What was your father’s company called? >> Faji Holdings. What’s wrong, >> Helen? Wait, what is your father’s name? >> Engineer Charles Faju, any problem? >> What? Helen, I just acquired Fajui Holdings. >> After everything, after all this suffering, you’re telling me the same company that was stolen from us is now sitting in your hands? My dad built that company from the ground up.

He made a lot of sacrifices. I can’t believe my uncles will just squander all his hard work just like that. >> Then it’s simple. I’m making you a co-owner. Everything that was your father’s, you will have a stake in it again. This is not charity, Helen. This is justice. Helen   >> to gain. >> Have you heard? Today they’re introducing a new co-owner to the company.

>> Who is it now? >> Nobody knows. Maybe one of the board members. I’d like to formally introduce  the newest co-owner of one of our subsidies. >> Is that Helen the cleaner? >> Tai Chai  knew. You saw my tears before they fell. You heard the press. I never spoke. Now every road feels  different.

Every morning feels brand new  because I found a place called home. The day I  found you. Some people fall in love with beauty.  Doc, she’s not just some cleaner anymore. She’s the co-owner. She has everything now. The money, the house, the man, everything I wanted. Rosemary, I don’t know what to tell you again.

I destroyed myself trying to destroy her. And for what? [sighs] You mean Rosemary did all of that to you? Why didn’t you say anything about it to me? Why didn’t you tell me?  I’m dealing with her tomorrow. First thing. >> Everybody deserves a second chance.  >> Not this one.

Not after everything she did to you. I don’t like to have that kind of person around me. I know everything, Rosemary. The coffee, the false accusations, everything you did to Helen while she said nothing. >> Sir, I  I was wrong. I let jealousy take over me. I’m sorry. >> Sorry doesn’t undo cruelty. >> Sir, please. >> You can go now, Rosemary. You are fired.

I can’t have someone as cruel as you working for me, let alone being my personal assistant. >> I only wanted you to notice me. Then you should have become the kind of woman worth noticing  instead of trying to destroy the one who already was. >> Good morning ma. Welcome. >> Good morning. Thank you.

People pass without a greeting.  I had a name. >> Hi, thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate. Thank you for the support and please don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share the video with your friends. It means a lot to us and it helps our channel. All right, two quick lesson like I like I usually do before I go.

First one from this story that we just watched right now. Um the first lesson I want to share with you is if you are doing well and you have kids, try as much as possible to to build a trust fund for them or write a will. We are not saying I’m not saying that anything bad might happen to you or blah blah blah. No, all I’m saying is if anything happens such that I mean so that your family will not come and then take away everything from your children and they will be stranded like we saw in this story that we watched that the the eldest daughter had to start taking care

of her sister her brothers because the parents uh um the sudden demise of her parents. So build something that your children that is for your children like a trust fund something like that so that they won’t suffer um if anything happens anything nothing will happen to you all right I just said that and the second lesson I want to share with you if you love somebody if you are crushing on somebody and that person doesn’t love you back it’s not the end of the old your own person will come.

You don’t have to become cruel towards the person the person I mean towards the one the person is dating or towards the person. You don’t have to become cruel and then you have to be like it has to be me or me. If it’s not me then nobody can date you blah blah blah. like we saw in this story where the lady had to be running around trying to get attention even to the extent of using voodoo and all those stuff.

So whoever is yours will come along the way. You don’t have to like um want to kill yourself over one person yet the person is not loving you back. You will find your own person. That’s just the reality of life. There’s someone for each person. All right, that’s all I have for you today. I hope you enjoyed this video.

Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share. And I will see you in the next one. Bye.  Again and again. >> You saw me  before the world. Change my story. change my  name. You held my hand before success, before tomorrow, before the fame. You believe  in who I was long before the  world agreed and that became the greatest gift anyone  could ever give me.

If I lose everything  tomorrow, will you still look at me this way? Would your heart still choose mine? When the flowers fade,  I already know  the answer. Because you love me before  there was anything to gain. Oh,

you saw me standing in the shadows carrying more than anyone knew. You saw my tears before they fell. You heard  the prayers. I never spoke. Now every road feels  different. Every morning feels brand new.  Because I found a place called home. The day  I found you. Some  people fall in love with beauty.

Some people  fall in love with success. But you you fell in love with a heart. Still learning  how to hold.  And because you saw me, I finally  learned to see myself. again.
