‘I’m hale, healthy’ – Actor Owolabi Ajasa debunks death rumour

Seasoned actor Owolabi Ajasa has debunked reports claiming he is dead, describing the viral news as false.

The actor, popularly known for his iconic police roles and the catchphrase “Ta lo pa chief?”, addressed the rumour in a video posted on his Instagram page on Friday.

An obituary poster announcing his purported death had circulated online, sparking concern among fans.

“Good day everyone, my name still remains Owolabi Ajasa, your Nollywood police officer. I want to tell all my fans both in Nigeria and abroad that I’m still much alive. I’m alive, hale and hearty. There’s nothing wrong with me”, he said.

The actor also condemned those behind the false report.

“To everyone posting my obituary around, I’m saying back to the sender to you and your family,” he added.

Ajasa remains one of Nollywood’s most recognisable faces, especially known for playing police officers in Yoruba films.
